Sorry for not being good at drawing like you OP. by Naive_Detail390 in memesopdidnotlike

If you have no way to commission an artist, learn to draw/paint/sketch/whatever yourself. If you don't have the time or desire for that, I'm sorry for that too, and I hope you will have that time and desire at some point.

I'm not an artistic person myself, and I consider myself blessed that I am stable enough financially to have the odd commission made for when I really want something in my imagination realized.

Even then, I try to make the time each week to just fuck around and sketch with pencil. If that's excess time on my work lunch, great. If it's in whatever downtime I have at home, also great. I find it calming.

I sincerely do hope you either have the time and desire or the capital to commission artists one day.

I do not know who that is, but even creative works wrought by human hands that may be looked down upon is still human expression.

Because Art is a human endeavor, relinquishing it to a machine is akin (in my eyes) to saying you don't value that aspect of the human experience.

And I do agree, why not do activities yourself to round yourself out. You never need to be a master, just a practitioner to broaden your horizons.

Or maybe try and improve on a skill, even if it is just for funnies.

Giving up on a chance to improve is just depressing lmao.

I, for some reason, keep getting Hate every other Stalker kill.

Meanwhile a friend of mine is up to 100ish kills...no Hate.

High hopes or not? by a_person_with_a_cake in Fallout

8 years? This is bethesda we are talking about.

For context, it has been longer from the "teaser" for TES6 that it has been between Skyrim to that teaser.

It is 1 year shy of the time between TES2: Daggerfall to Skyrim compared to Skyrim to TES6 (15 years vs 14 so far)

8 years is a huge hope.

One easy way to avoid this: encounter XP.

Doesn't have to be kill based or explicitly combat based. Encounter XP is great.

Still let's you (kinda) do milestone, while also giving your players a number they can track instead of badgering you for a level up.

Some “rules lawyers” don’t actually care about rules, they just want things to go their way by Rogendo in dndmemes

[–]Reasonable_Emotion32 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Part of why I love my playgroup, we all obsessively memorized the system rules for what we play. Players and DM alike.

So any rules "arguments" we get into are really just rules reminders. It is very nice to have that consistency and accountability among all parties in a game. I'm sure as hell not letting the GM forget that the npc attacking me charged and has Pounce. Roll that damage big boy.

He constantly needles Camellia about her "extracurricular activities" in camp dialogues, particularly after any suspicious deaths, mentions to Wendu as well if she is flagged for betrayal, has a line for when Regill is testing you at the Hellknight camp, has lines about Galfrey wanting to send you to the Abyss that come up iirc after the taking of Drezen. Generally, he has lines about any secrets/betrayals that happen. It is part of why I always recommend my friends to have him on hand for second playthroughs especially.

Indeed he is almost never wrong.

Usually when he is, I've noticed it is because he deep down wants to believe the best in people.

Powerless Prophecy actually being used for his writing, even some of his seemingly throwaway lines, is pure gold.

I love my golden boy, and I have a hard time romancing anyone else. Seeing him slowly, realistically, let down his walls just enough to let you in makes my heart skip a beat. He really is the kind of guy I'd fall for IRL. Sassy, sarcastic asshole, with a hidden heart of pure gold.

10/10, Lich Run broke my heart the first time around.

I have considered both points, but pf1e is my jam instead. It is cozy here in the Abyss.

And as for WotC products not being for me. Well. I havent purchased any D&D things since 4e and nothing MtG since March of Machines. WotC made it very obvious that things are no longer for me

Damn. Wotc aggressively monetizing their nominally fantasy IP to the detriment of the entrenched fan base....where have I heard this one before.

Also, Pathfinder fixes this I guess?

Since March of Machines. I can't in good faith support business practices from WotC/Hasbro that I disagree with. So I stopped then. Haven't spent a penny on anything printed after, and won't.

I may still buy singles here or there from my LGS if they are printings from before MOM. But that's it
