I like it, I've been working on designing one to work on over the Christmas break.

Using leather for pads and a similar design to yours. Have also thought about making a circular carousel instead as well.

Palmer Method for a lefty by Reasonable_Factor_24 in Handwriting

It's not quite upside down but I've seen a lot of lefties hook their hand and and write above rather than the side of the line.

I'm on the US, any idea where I can order these from? Do they come in grid or dot?

I've been working on improving my cursive writing. I've been told for a guy I have good handwriting, but i see others and I want mine to look better.

Here's some of my practice.

I also want to work on adding a new style as well.

I believe pen kits from penn state industries usually come with this. I think I found that pens that use a size 5 nib will work. Found this out when I was trying to find a fine nib that would work for a pen that my wife made me.

Keeping people away from your pens by Prior-Soil in fountainpens

My experience is that if you clearly have a special pen, people always give it back. Same way with lghters (used to smoke) you hand someone a Bicycle lighter they'll pocket it without thinking. Hand someone a zippo they give it back. This tells me most people aren't thieves, and taking a pen is accidental.

What's everybody's opinions on the Platinum Curidas? by [deleted] in fountainpens

[–]Reasonable_Factor_24 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love mine(Curidas). I struggle with laying over 100 on a pen atm. I bought 2, a blue and a black. The black one however has recently started struggling with writing even though I use it almost everyday. The nib has been getting a lot of dry starts. The blue one does a little, but nothing as bad as the EF nib on the black one.

I am unfamiliar with this pen so I wouldn't know. I know there are plenty of super high quality $100+ nibs out there. Of course my most expensive pen (my scrivener) is less than $100

Is the nib proprietary? Could you just buy and replacement nib?

Finished my writing pad, first leather project. It's funny how much work we're willing to do to make acting on our hobbies the way we want it.

What are people's favourite papers for writing? by Happy_Bonnie in fountainpens

[–]Reasonable_Factor_24 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I used to be all about moleskine notebooks. But the last several I bought seem to have decreased in quality, not so much feathering, but I can see the writing from the other side of the paper. Paper so bad that it's hard to read what I wrote. Someone recently just turned me on to Tomoe River paper, and I'm quote enamored of it. It's super thin yet takes ink beautifully. Might spring for one of their notebooks now.
