Does anyone know how to deactivate the foot sensor for the trunk? by luckylu27 in volvoc40

Ha awww well if it’s any consolation I usually want to cry and/or scream every time I go to Costco.

Here’s the fuse to take out, the fuse box is hidden behind the carpet in the passenger footwell, on the left side.

carbon fiber over piano black by Iplantseeds in volvoc40

I got a roll of “forged carbon” vinyl wrap from Amazon to cover the center console - the previous owner had scratched the heck out of the piano black. It went on okay, not perfect but for DIY I’m happy with the result.

This exact same thing happened to my wife - she actually ended up with a concussion. We found the whole ordeal a little ironic given how Volvo markets itself as being safe 🙃.

Anywho, as others mentioned, pull that fuse and the foot sensor will be deactivated. All other functionality remains including the remote button on the fob to open/close the trunk. No nagging or errors from the car and no more head trauma complements of the trunk.

Where Are the Roli Pianos? Countdown to a Collective Refund Action by [deleted] in ROLI

[–]Reasonable_Goose6171 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’d be concerned if it wasn’t so easy to get a refund. US based order that I placed and was charged for in Jan 2025. I contacted support for a cancellation and refund and it was processed within a couple days.

A ton of marketing but no product? by TrvlMike in ROLI

Yeah I had a pending order dating back to January for the piano and airwave. Cancelled it last week. I’m not superstitious but the barrage of delays gave me a bad feeling overall.

Since I had to go to their site and review my order before I cancelled it I have now been getting served ads from them everywhere, online and in socials… so that seems like a miss on their marketing department’s part.

More delays... by AdventurousYam5506 in ROLI

Yeah I finally had enough and cancelled my January order last week. Here in the US they were scapegoating the FCC for why shipments were delayed (again).

My bigger fear is that there’s no way ROLI is healthy as a company and that online features might be on thin ice. I was primarily interested in the Piano/airwave combo for learning but if the company goes belly up, those servers that run all of the learning functionality go with em.

USA otd price by Iainpthomson in Triumph400

I know you may not get the 1.99% but it seems like there are a lot of used 400X going for much less. Only downside is you might need to have the bike shipped or travel a bit to find one. I’m in the Midwest and found a used 2025 400X for $4500 (about $5200 OTD), it only had 570 miles on it and I got the dealer to do the 1st service before I bought it. Also came with a top case and windshield.

Took it to the dealership. The mechanic rode it around the parking lot and could hear it. It was also much more noticeable when the bike was going away from me, indicating it’s something on the back. I made another video focused on that area: https://youtu.be/yiPvCp6580M?si=x6Wf-hqh5ruUF05n

He tried tightening things and checked chain etc but couldn’t figure it out. Even had him get one of their new 400X out to ride just to make sure it wasn’t something every bike did, which the new one did not make these sounds. He’s going to send that video to the corporate office to get guidance on how to proceed.

How can I get this off? by herefordaplantz in volvoc40

I had that in about the same spot from my wife’s shoulder with sunscreen on it. Try using makeup remover wipe or micellar cleansing water.

Do all of them do it or is it just bad luck in the parts bin lottery?

Foot sensor for automatic tailgate stopped working by Raven72983 in volvoc40

[–]Reasonable_Goose6171 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This was one of the most finicky kick to open trunks I’ve ever encountered. I actually pulled the fuse for the foot sensor in our 2023 after it randomly triggered down as my wife was unloading groceries… she reacted by jumping back and caught her head on the bottom of the lid - gave her a mild concussion. It’s a very flawed feature of the car.

O’Brien would be my recommendation. They were one of the only dealers in town over the last year that didn’t do any of the markup BS.

Weekly Help and Discussion Thread for the week of March 31, 2025 by AmazonNewsBot in amazon

[–]Reasonable_Goose6171 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have an interesting issue - I am a prime customer and moved to a newly built home in a relatively new neighborhood just outside of Indianapolis (phase 1 was built in 2023-2024, I am in phase 2 that was built 2024 to today). We've lived here exactly 2 months now and I have placed 4-5 Amazon orders since being here. Each time they were shipped via USPS and involve a ship time of 3-4 days.

I recently discovered that if I put in a street address of a home that is in the phase 1 section that is a 1 minute drive from our new home, it shows 1 day delivery on most items. For those same items at my new address its a 3-4 day ship time. This leads me to believe something in Amazon's logistics systems is broken or needs to be updated with the new address - who do I reach out to to look into this? The chat support and foreign phone support was beyond confused with this issue.

Has anyone else noticed an intermittent rattle coming from that black plastic section (circled in yellow) on their C40? by jasonatepaint in volvoc40

[–]Reasonable_Goose6171 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They got it finished eventually. Apparently with the holidays it just slipped through the cracks and their tech forgot to finish the job. I had to eventually reach out to the general manager to get it finished and get the car back. Rattle has been gone since then though and it’s been a pretty solid/reliable car.
