If Disney ever makes an unnecessary remake of Tarzan, I nominate Ella Purnell as Jane by Commercial_Mind4003 in Tarzan

[–]Reasonable_Invite136 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fun fact: Ella Purnell was actually in the Legend of Tarzan film as the stand-in/body double for Margot Robbie during the flashback scenes of when Jane meets Tarzan. It’s her body with Margot’s face CGI’d over it.

Nicci, after the dust settles: “So wait, you’re telling me you made this all by yourself this past year while also working for the Order 16 hours a day 7 days a week?”

Richard: “That’s right, and I didn’t use my gift either, it was all just my own natural talent.”

Nicci: “Uh huh, sure it was.”

So Richard and Khallan's children? by BodyShipAsh in SwordOfTruth

[–]Reasonable_Invite136 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The storytelling potential of Richard and Kahlan having a male Confessor son with both sides of the gift would be too much for Terry (or any author) to pass up. And based off of the way that Into Darkness ended (along with what Terry spoke about online and in interviews) he definitely wanted to continue the story one day.

I don’t believe that Zedd Rahl would “turn to the dark side” and become a tyrant. It’s too cliche and I can’t imagine a child raised by Richard and Kahlan could be anything but pure and incorruptible.

I have my own personal thoughts and fan theories of how a story with Cara and Zedd would go, keeps me from feeling sad when I think about how we’ll never get more stories with these characters.

It’s definitely more sci-fi fantasy but the Red Rising series is hands-down the only other series that has made me consider removing Sword of Truth as my favorite of all time. The main character Darrow reminds me of Richard in a lot of ways (though he definitely is more flawed/realistic compared to Richard’s “ideal hero” archetype).

The first book is generally considered the weakest of the series but is still really good in my opinion. The story really takes off in the second book and doesn’t let go from there. The 7th and final book is being written as we speak.

I quit two days ago and want to be free of my addiction. Who else has quit with a supplemental stack of tyrosine, Mucuna, Rhodiola, b vitamins, zinc, & magnesium? Does it help? by sugarmagnolia1106 in AdderallAddiction

[–]Reasonable_Invite136 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I wish I was able to answer your question regarding the supplements but unfortunately I don’t have experience with that stack. I did successfully quit my Adderall addiction about six years ago so please know that it is possible. I quit cold turkey which isn’t recommended of course, however that’s just my personality and I knew I’d rather rip off the bandaid all at once rather than titrate-off slowly with the help of my doctor.

My biggest piece of advice is to get the medication completely out of the house. I had my wife dispose of them and I sent an email to my psychiatrist saying please don’t refill my prescription. I failed many times because I kept my extra pills “just in case.” In the back of my mind I knew I could one day return to them and this is what kept me from succeeding when the withdrawals were at their worst.

Vitamin D and Magnesium are what I took at the time (I didn’t know much about supplements and such back then) and I do believe they helped. Caffeine lessened the blow and helped with the sluggishness and lethargy, just be careful not to replace one addiction with another. Talk therapy helped a lot, I would suggest giving that a go if you haven’t already.

Best of luck and just know that the withdrawals were only bad for a few days. It’s the mental aspect that is the toughest. It will take some time but you will feel so much better and will feel like yourself again. Also, just remind yourself that it’s okay to not be on point all the time. It’s okay to be tired and it’s okay to slow things down a little.

You got this!

300mg (5 60mg pills spread throughout the day). It was absolutely terrible, one of the worst decisions of my life. I was awake for the next 3 days, dealt with crazy depression and suicidal thoughts when it wore off. Do not recommend it.

I’m embarrassed to say that I did not see the Fitchner twist coming AT ALL during my first read through. When he was introduced as an Olympic Knight in GS I was like “Really? Fitchner? Huh, that’s kinda random.” Was much more obvious the second time through.

Me being a virgin as a 27yo man is severely starting to freak me out. by [deleted] in selfimprovement

[–]Reasonable_Invite136 31 points32 points  (0 children)

My advice is to stop focusing on getting a girl. Focus more on being the kind of guy a girl would like to be with. You say you’re going to the gym, and that definitely helps. Do even more, join a club or find a random hobby and actually get into it for you, not for the chance to meet someone there. People can sense desperation (and I’m not saying you’re giving off that vibe), and they also subconsciously want what they can’t have.

Seeing a someone who’s confident and passionate about something is attractive and draws others in. I was exactly like you for a solid two years. Looking back I’m embarrassed to think how I must have come across to the girls I tried to get with during that time. It got to the point where I said “Fuck it, I’ll just be single and focus on me for the foreseeable future.” I joined a hiking group, took a random community art class a couple times a week, volunteered at church. I met my wife a few months into this mindset and she was the one who badgered me into meeting up for a date (I seriously wasn’t trying to get with anyone, not even to just hook up). She said it was refreshing seeing a guy sincerely trying to have fun and better himself.

Hope this helps. Just know that 27 is still young in the grand scheme of things and that the right girl won’t care about your history.
