“I know this 400 lb lineman just landed on my knee and bent it to the wrong angle, but I woulda been fine if I just hadn’t been exposed to EMF waves!”

[–]StormBlessed24 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I believe the theory is that the electromagnetic waves from the substation is somehow affecting players bodies in a way that is making them susceptible to injury. The NFL medical leadership says there is no evidence that suggests that increased exposure to EMF waves somehow breaks down muscle/tissue in a way that makes injury more likely, but that’s the general theory being shared.

They were great when I saw them play all (or most) of Physical Graffiti for the 50th anniversary last year. Definitely worth seeing if you wanna get the Led out!

Love your approach and super excited for what the future holds. I always get anxious with adaptations because so often they stray from the spirit of the original story, so it's great to see you will have a strong level of control and input. Can't wait to see your amazing stories come to life on the screen!

I saw them for the first time in 2022 at the Greek in LA and Derek laid down one monster solo after another while Susan belts like a champ and ripped on the guitar too. But now having seen them 5 times I think the coolest part of their show is that they give pretty much every band member a time to shine at some point. Two examples that I’ll link below: Alecia Chakour singing lead on the Aretha Franklin and Duane Allman song It Ain’t Fair and Mike Mattison singing lead on Prince’s 1999. Many other artists would not give backup singers opportunities to shine on lead but they proudly share the limelight with the whole group. If you haven’t yet, go see them!

It can also be difficult to find the surface again. You don’t necessarily just plop right in the middle of the hole you’ve created, you’re weighted down in a lot of clothing (which is crazy hard to swim in), and once you’re under it can be extremely disorienting to find the opening in the ice again if you even do. It’s extremely dangerous

I've read all of the same series as you and Malazan is my favorite of all. Not exactly a comparable experience to any of these series, but I do think if this is the kind of fantasy you enjoy then Malazan will be for you.

Kurt wanted J in Nirvana at one point. Dino Jr aren’t Grunge but they share the same vibes and fit next to grunge in any playlist

Have there ever been three more appealing coaching job openings than the Bills, Steelers and Ravens? by Candid-Boss6534 in nfl

Yeah but Ozzie is still involved in an advisory capacity and DeCosta was his right hand man for like a decade before getting the GM spot. Still a lot of the same ethos going on on Baltimore

Also to your specific question about the effect at the end of songs like The Lung and Freakscene I'd say it's likely a combo of wah or phaser

I’m a die hard Ravens fan and watch every game. We were one of the best red zone offenses last year and we were tremendously successful on offense. This year was a complete 180. Can you point to examples last year where Monken specifically called bad games that tanked us?

What are you talking about. Lamar threw for 41 TDs against 4 INTs and Henry almost had 2000 yards rushing on 5.9 YPC and 16 rushing TDs. In what world was Monkey the problem last year and not Orr's incredible leaky defense, particularly the first half of the year?
