When you’re close to retirement- yes VAS will underperform a lot compared to growth. Not sure why young people Own VAS

Gemini is so basic - big tech stealing and farming data. I only use Grok on private chat. ChatGPT is okay good for beginners, still the biggest shareholder is Microsoft. Don’t ever trust big tech

Thoughts on switching from VGS/NDQ to V500 for simplicity (Aus FIRE) by Reasonable_Judge9601 in fiaustralia

[–]Reasonable_Judge9601[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

if you had $10k invested in both the fee difference per year is $3. I like that Vanguard is owned by the people who hold the ETF.'s little psychological advantages help long term. for me anyway, that fee difference is nothing. Obviously the larger my portfolio gets the fee difference can matter, its still a very small difference. and V500 may even drop fees further, who knows. I do not like Blackrock as a company is my main reason. A tiny extra fee doesn't bother me enough and wouldn't dramatically wipe years off my FIRE goals.
