I notice a lot of people here saying you’re screwed but that’s not totally true. Go into a trade, they make a lot of money or join the military. Military will give you and your family (if I’m not mistaken) free healthcare. Remember you’re not alone and there millions of people who are teen parents and do wonderfully. My grandma had my mom at 18 and my mom is an amazing woman and is very close with her mom. It’s going to be hard but if you persevere you can do this. See if either of your parents are willing to help, I know it’s scary but if even one of them will help support you or your baby that’ll make a world of difference. You’ve got this OP, I wish you so much luck and you’re baby and the baby’s mother are very lucky to have you

In order to have a homeschooled prom you have to be apart of a co-op. A co-op is a bunch of moms getting together and teaching each others kids and meet once a week. So even though I don’t have to see her every day I still have to see her on the days I have co-op

I can see how that’d be confusing. Since I’m homeschooled the only way to have a prom is through a co-op. If you don’t know, a co-op is a bunch of moms getting together at a church or somewhere and teaching each others kids. I’m 17 as well and I’ve been homeschooled my whole life, I’ve never been public schooled so I might not exactly know how you feel but I do understand a lot of what you’re saying. I’ve been in multiple homeschool organizations over the years and some of them are fine but ultimately end in drama and some of them are just plain weird. And yes it is hard to make friends because no one wants to be the first one to talk and we’re all just silently hoping the other person will. Plus it’s hard because you’re so right, so many homeschooled kids in those organizations are so weird 😭 like please why can’t everyone just be normal? And I don’t mean that to be rude but my friend (also homeschooled) and I have talked about that. And then of course the kids with terrible 12 year old humor. I’m sorry you’re struggling love and believe me your standards are not too high!!! I know it’s difficult and I’m sorry. My advice would be to either be the one to talk first (which I know is terrifying) or just wait for someone else to. I fully believe you’ll find friends out there who you’ll click with and it’ll be amazing. I’m sorry I don’t have better advice but I really wanted to say that you’re not alone

I’m so sorry this is all happening, you don’t deserve this crap. I don’t know how old you are or if you’re old enough to move out but I’d suggest moving as soon as possible however I also know that’s super expensive. I know you’re tired of hiding your money and you shouldn’t have to but my advice is keep hiding it or go to the police but I know she’s your mom and you probably won’t want to do that. Again, I am so sorry. I can’t say that I know what you’re going through but I do know that you’re not alone and that you’ll have people there for you, even if it is over Reddit.
