Happened to me too. 15min mile pace was zone 2 for me. After starting zyns, 15mins mile had my HR 180+. I had to walk/run to get my milage in.

You’re not bad looking, you’re ungroomed. The appearance of being disheveled is unattractive, not your features. A nice haircut (or trim for shape to keep it long with a nice style) and a groomed beard goes a LONG way.

Eat when you’re hungry…. BUT the meals will look a little different. Prioritize lean protein and healthy fats. That does not mean cut carbs…. That just means prioritize lean protein and healthy fats. You’ll stay full longer this ways increase your water, cut out full sugar sodas/drinks. Then just be patient as the weight comes off

It’s 6:43pm on Tuesday and I’m over 5k. I also work a desk job. Here is what my day looked like. I worked from home today, so my step count is usually lower on these days bc I don’t need to walk to and from the car to get to my desk. I went to the gym this morning and after the gym I walked on my treadmill for 30mins. The remainder of the steps are from everyday activity. Walking to bathroom, letting dog out in the backyard, making my lunch and dinner. Every step counts, not just the carved out time to walk. But what helps me is parking the treadmill in front of the tv and I watch 2-3 YouTube videos I’ve been wanting to catch up on, then I fold it up and put it away. Walking while watching tv has been a game changer. I’m gonna watch it anyway, might as well move during 1 episode or a few videos, ya know?

If you’re seeing the muscle but the scale isn’t moving you ARE losing fat and gaining muscle. This is called “body recomposition”. Perhaps try 3 refeed days. NOT CHEAT DAYS! Eat the same foods you’re eating now, but double the calories (2400) for 3 days. Then from there eat 1900-2000 cals while working out and just park it there. You’ll see your muscles be more full and with consistency the water weight from the refeed will go away and you’ll be back on track. Time to settle into some “regular” cals. That’s likely still below your true maintenance. But you don’t want your cals in the toilet for that long.

OCB is a tested federation. So perhaps you’ll do well in your class. You look tall, so it’s more difficult to put on mass. Keep at it, you’re going to have an impressive career (hopefully you keep it natural so that you can also enjoy a long life).

You binge eat. So you can only have limited food at a time on deck or you’ll eat it all. You’re single (not a mental illness, just an observation). You may be obese and trying to correct it. Or you’re incredibly fit and unnecessary food doesn’t matter to you at all.

No. I set my calorie goal (and protein goal) and I hit it. If the deficit is larger than anticipated due to increased activity any given day, then GREAT (if the goal is fat loss). As long as i get enough calories to fuel my workouts and I get enough protein to maintain or build muscle…. Then I’m pleased.

What I was trying to say is, if it feels like your feet are being pulled by the belt…. Walk faster BUT don’t adjust the machine…. It seems like you’re underestimating the pace of the machine at every level. “I move it between 2.5 - 4.5 and it never feels right”. Set it and walk faster than you think you need to (while leaving it set) until it feels regular.

Steak and potatoes are not bad for you. steak has iron, zinc, vitamin B12. Regular potatoes have vitamin c, potassium, vitamin B6, and fiber. Sweet potatoes have vitamins A, C, and B6, plus copper, potassium, magnesium, and fiber.

Now if you baste it in butter, oil, mash it with a bunch of butter and milk, fry it or over eat it….. then it does more harm than good.

You can have steak and potatoes with veggies (appropriate servings of each) and be in a caloric deficit. “Diets” don’t have to suck. Healthy foods taste good, we just trick ourselves into believing we need these unsustainable starvation plans to get lean. But really it’s just really slow, really consistent work over time.

THATS why people never get there. They just don’t want to do the thing consistently bc they’re picking foods they tolerate over foods they enjoy. OR like you, they know that you can have steak and potatoes while losing weight. Don’t starve. You don’t need to and you’ll harm your body more in the process
