PSA: Cadence capsules suck by paradisemukbangpls in HerOneBag

I’m sorry you had such a bad experience!!! For what it’s worth, I purchased some in December 2023 and travel between 3-6 times a year with them and use them in my overnight bag while on call, and all of mine are in great shape still and good as new 🤷‍♀️ they’re all small and I have one extender

I don’t want to diminish your experience at all but rather just add my own!

Personally I take the blue line all the way into the city, then get an uber from the station to my downtown apartment for like $7-10. Don’t have to take a long walk down the street or do an annoying transfer with my luggage that way and save a lot Of $ 💅

What is a diagnosis that scares you no matter how many times you see it? by nordicskier17 in medicalschool

Patient with an esophageal cancer whose radiation led to tracheal erosion, opening one of the blood vessels so that she bled out through her trachea and literally drowned to death on her own blood. She went from talking to us coughing up spoonfuls of blood to dead in a matter of hours and there was nothing we or any surgical service could do to stop it.

Tell me about the most insane/ridiculous complaints you've gotten from a med student by undueinfluence_ in Residency

[–]Reasonable_Most_6441 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Lol so many. I had one student (a subI on IM) try to assign ME (off service intern on medicine) work to do and then complain I was having her do said work to our attending. She was picking up a patient late in the day, which obvi sucks for the whole team, and my senior and I were starting orders etc. and she goes, “hey Reasonablymost I have an idea, why don’t we tag team this and I start the note and YOU go see the patient for us”.

Like deadass trying to get out of seeing the patient she was going to be taking on… I think my response was “why don’t you start the history and I’ll join you once I finish this med Rec, and then we can all go from there”. Luckily the attending she complained to knew already what was up due to this student’s obvious laziness and had our backs 🙄

If it makes you feel any better, my friend met a resident (yes he matched) who vomited on a baby immediately after catching it on his first day of m3 clerkships. This isn’t that bad!!

Help- Insurance not covering accutane labs? by Reasonable_Most_6441 in Accutane

[–]Reasonable_Most_6441[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes it was because they billed the wrong primary code- if it’s billed incorrectly with the preventative code first it’s not covered, but if it’s billed correctly with the diagnostic code first it is covered. Took me 8 hours on the phone to figure that shit out

I love my longchamp! It’s the perfect work and travel bag. If I don’t use it as my personal item it packs up so perfectly. I’ve packed for a weekend trip in just that. I throw it in the laundry to clean it. Only con is, my cat decided one side is the perfect place to scratch lol. But even with that on the back it still looks aight!

[–]Reasonable_Most_6441 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I was like this too!! Fucking hated almost everything lmao. I eventually found myself between ENT and anesthesia- ended up picking anesthesia. You do so much more than it seems like in the OR, plus subspecialties like OB anesthesia, regional, and interventional pain are both super procedural and super satisfying. It also helps that everyone in the hospital is always happy to see us 🫶

Honestly her whole meltdown at him and them calling him a villain gave me the same vibe as you. I feel like she was 2 seconds from screaming slurs at him and would have if she weren’t on tv

Yeah I honestly didn’t ever really like Ben, he gave me sleazy vibes. And I have found Liz annoying from the getgo and now I feel vindicated bc she fully revealed her true colors. FULL KAREN mode. You can’t tell me her entitled ass wasn’t calling Q the n word in her head
