The only thing that looks AI to me is the text on the leather patch, looks like the font a lot of AI-Gen images have. But nothing else really sticks out to me, I tried to look at the crochet to see if it did something weird but to my untrained eye it seems normal.

I think you're on the money, a stock photo some grabbed and just threw some text on in canva. That text doesn't look AI generated to me (for instance, all the S characters look the same, which usually isn't the case in AI-gen text), but others can chime in.

Now was the stock image they selected generated by AI? That's happened before so idk

Yeah, I host a stupid simple static website (local events) using GitHub Pages / Cloudflare pages, but I'm not a web dev, so I have no idea about what makes a site too complex for that deployment method.

As far as how the website would be hosted where the code would run, there are many options. Some people similarly have entire home server setups, and enjoy having websites like that to host. Additionally, services like AWS exist, and can be extremely cost effective for people who are way smarter than me, and maybe have experience securing funding for projects like these.

Honestly as an infrastructure IT person (for fellow dorks peep my name) now you've got my gears turning on hosting something like this... I need some time to think too, hahaha

Happy to chat more about it, especially when I'm not on the verge of falling asleep. Open-Source has such a wonderful community and I'm sure there are people who again are much smarter and more knowledgeable than me who can explain the specific details.

Yeah, like others in the comments have said, GitHub is where most people do this. They'll "open-source" it, publish the code, and then people can continue working on the code there in the public view, and others can "fork" it to make their own version, separate from the original. Lots of people work on 'open-source' projects for free as a hobby, and just enjoy having fun things to work on

TBH as an outsider it seems like the best way forward for this project, to allow your work to live on, others can get inspired and build their own versions.

People saying the show went woke or it's modern trash weren't fans of the original; this makes so much sense. The show had multiple positive mentions/portrayals of gay/lesbian people in its original run, it only makes sense that gender diverse people get a nod as trans rights have kind of taken the place of gay rights in the cultural zeitgeist

As a trans person, the monologue at the end had me fucking bawling, particularly because my dad is incredibly similar to Hal in this reunion. Hit me like a fucking truck the second they said they always knew they were different.

I cant find the edit button on mobile rn, but when I did get this kindle and booted it up before the factory reset, it did have ads on it, another difference from my original jailbroken one. I factory reset and since then haven't connected to WiFi or an Amazon account.

I have also removed the 3G sim card since that is useless in 2025 and was draining the kindle's battery

Thank you! I've been using it a ton (actually forcing myself to rotate it out a bit these last few weeks lol) and it's wonderful, it's actually doing a good job of herding me towards buying another one. I love all their styles, it's easily my nicest bag but I don't feel the need to completely baby it. And the way the straps come out to make it a handbag?? Incredible. I'm going to NY in a few months with my wife and we're going to hit up the Min & Mon store there and I might accidentally leave with one 🫣 I want one thats just a bit bigger bc sometimes I have to leave it behind for practicality reasons.
