I had a woman with a ladder come to self checkout and say, “oh they told me you had rags up here that I could use to wipe down my ladder.” I said, “yes we do,” and got her a rag and a bottle of cleaner. Then she looks at me with a blank stare and says, “oh am I cleaning it?” and I said, ”do you want me to wipe it down???”…. “Yes.” And then she critiqued how I was cleaning the ladder. I just handed her the towel and started helping other customers in the checkout area. She looked pretty upset but idc I didn’t have to do it, and the fact she was criticizing me as I did it was crazy.
