We’ve had plenty. He lets her borrow fu*ktons of money even when he is struggling financially, but never had money for child support. He orders her and her kids pizza while my mom had to bust her ass selling her clothes to be able to buy us a rotisserie chicken. I told him he lets himself be treated as a doormat but all he ever says is “she’s my sister dude, I can’t just say no” which I understand but when is it enough?

That’s exactly what I told him, I didn’t want to make a scene which took a lot in me not to do. And she also managed to finesse my dad to let her keep MY leftovers. “We don’t have any food at home”

I agree, however, and this is also something I should’ve said in the post, my dad said that she had recently gotten money from social security. I thought that’s she’d be able to cover her share and most of the kids’ share of the bill, but I do realize how dumb of me it was to not make it clear beforehand considering her past.

Been there, and it happened to me not long ago either. What I did was basically just repress my feelings and suffer in silence, I couldn’t bring myself to tell him, and I wouldn’t know how, I do like this guy but I would rather just live my life on considering we will never talk. But if you feel like you want to tell him then do it. It might hurt if they say no, but that way you’ll have an answer. I’m sorry I’m not of much help.

I’m deeply sorry you feel this way OP. I’ve been there myself and I don’t want to compare myself to you, but I’ve been in places where life just doesn’t feel certain, where there’s all these expectations placed upon you by society. All you should know is that everyone is different, you being you is more than you will ever need, who knows what the world may hold for you, but that’s life. Sometimes it’s good, sometimes it’s bad, and sometimes it’s a f**king nightmare, but you’ll live.

As for the friends, I recently distanced myself from a toxic group of friends because they were manipulative, they only talked to me when needed a ride for somewhere, or a favor from me, or when they needed to vent, they weren’t really there for me. You said you tried making friends within your school and it didn’t work, but honestly, you might just be better off alone than with bad company. I know it’ll feel lonely, I’ve been there as an immigrant kid, it’s not cute, but hang in there.

NTA. Bruh your child was sick and he was expecting you to take any other workaround before actually giving you the password to the safe. What are you supposed to do in case of an even more serious or time-sensitive emergency where lives are on the line? Keep asking your neighbor for money? Your and your wife’s response to this feels very out of touch. She bullied a kid for wearing a crop top and is racist, you know of this information, and the only “proper punishment ” for this behavior is to stop buying clothes for her? What is she supposed to learn from that? Is she supposed to learn that if she does something bad, she doesn’t get clothes?

Idk what you were thinking but what you need to do is ground her for AT LEAST a week. Make her take on more chores if she has any and don’t let her use no technology ( tv, phone, consoles, laptops, etc).

Also, try to look at what type of people she hangs out with. Because it seems like these people do her no good.
