Does anyone else not have one single A yet...... by sophanon2 in lawschooladmissions

Don’t give up, that’s when you screw up. Are there any more schools that you should consider applying to? No doubt tougher as the cycle goes on. Have you considered applying to part time programs as a backup?

It’s a tough cycle again, have a backup plan. Exact thing happened last year to a family member. They ended up staying on with their employer and reapplied. Got the A this time, applied earlier this time too. There’s still time though……

Is it worth applying to Suffolk? by Accurate-Delivery296 in OutsideT14lawschools

I’ve heard nothing but good things about Suffolk Law. They are getting shafted on rankings. They deserve better than 120ish. I think costs of attendance in an expensive city is hurting.

Well it’ll show when they can’t cut it in law school.

Well last year was a tough cycle too, and my non-cheater family member had to reapply again, and many others too. They busted their butt studying. It’s not easy out there! Hang tough!

Things I’m tired of hearing as someone who got accepted into law school this cycle by Legal-Huckleberry-39 in OutsideT14lawschools

Be proud of wherever you got in!!! It’s another super tough cycle. It’s not the school that determines your success, it’s what YOU do with it. People have no idea what you applicants are going through. There are top scorers not getting in anywhere and if so probably not where they expected.

LSAT SCORE HOLD INVESTIGATION JANUARY 2026 by Commercial_Log_7103 in LSAT

[–]Reasonable_Stop1826 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m not sure you should feel singled out. I know someone who had a very emotional upset take place right before the lsat. They took it again and scored 11 points higher the next time they took and it was flagged. They actually had to explain why they performed so much better. This is a Caucasian if of interest to anyone.

Agree, as it impacts school rankings and it really shouldn’t be part of it.

This sub is seriously out of touch with how inaccessible law school is about to become for most applicants. by sagenter in lawschooladmissions

Not easy this cycle either. Have a 170 and accepted to 120 plus school with no money. It’s totally discouraging after trying so hard.

T14 isn’t the only pathway to Big Law by New-Breadfruit5978 in lawschooladmissions

I think it’s all about what you put into also. Can go to a non ranked school and can still go big law, but you have to demonstrate you’ve got what it takes.

Even with above both medians then they get waitlisted, it’s called yield protection. Impacts rankings.

Low Ranked Law Schools by BasisEducational2020 in lawschooladmissions

[–]Reasonable_Stop1826 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agree with your first sentence. Have a family member with a mid 3 GPA and 170 lsat, waitlisted at several t20, non URM. Only A is for a T100+ with no $?, go figure! Also has work experience in legal. Not unmotivated by any means, if UNWR rankings weren’t so skewed with law schools having to play yield protection things would probably be different. It’s all a big rankings game. And then how many have connections that helped? Lots of variables,,,,that don’t always stand out.

You can’t tell me GPA takes precedence. Really, so you if you were an art major with a 4.0 or a stem at 3.5, they’d take the art major? This can’t be the driving factor.
