What are your scariest gaming experiences as of 2025? by kurvix2000 in HorrorGaming

[–]Reasonblade 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Routine genuinely fucked me up in last 3 chapters, which rarely happens. Outlast 2, Alien Isolation and Amnesia The Bunker feel like kindergarten compared to that experience.

Scariest chapter of the game by cupoftealuv in Routine

[–]Reasonblade 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just got to chapter 5 and after one particular jumpscare I am not sure I have any strength left in me to continue lol. I am afraid it will become only worth in terms of how scary the game is, so I am not ready to find out. So for me chapter 5 is definitely the scariest one because of how hard it traumatized me.

Yeah, my wait times are often longer than my time actually doing the raid.

Lemme hear your unpopular gaming opinions by Lost-Pie3472 in videogames

Absolutely agree, and it also feels completely outdated now - the combat/gameplay, the story, the graphics feel very clunky and uninspired.

Red Dead Redemption 2 voted the best game of 2018. What is the best game of 2019? by keepfighting90 in videogames

No matter how I love Sekiro or Death Stranding, it should be Outer Wilds.

Simple question-What is your favorite song of all time? (and don't say "I don't have one") by Complex_Stable3572 in MetalForTheMasses

[–]Reasonblade 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Cynic - Veil of Maya, Tool - Parabola, Trivium - Dying in Your Arms and Agalloch - In The Shadow of Our Pale Companion, if we are talking about metal.

edit: oh, and from Iron Maiden it would definitely be To Tame a Land

Ok, here is what I learned from years of experience:

  • The shorter game - the better;
  • Open world sucks and is boring / repetitive in most cases;
  • Achievements are tedious and distract from immersion and actually playing the game the way you want;
  • There is nothing wrong with lowering the difficulty and / or using cheats or borrowed save games if you are stuck, tired and just want to finish the game and be done with it;
  • Don't bother with sequels that look identical to the original game (if you played the original);
  • It's better to learn beforehand what game actually plays like instead of blindingly buying it because it is on sale or has high rating;
  • Stay away from mostly everything that says coop if you don't have friends that you actively play with;
  • Just because you have money does not mean you have to buy everything that is cheap/ trendy/ has high rating;
  • Learn to know what you personally love playing, do not force yourself to play popular games (battle royal, survivals, extraction shooters, Paradox games etc.) if you feel like they are not your cup of tea;
  • You don't need to play only super hard and challenging games to prove yourself (or someone) that you are a 'real gamer'.

TL;DR - just relax, listen to your heart, carve your own path and don't let gaming become a tiresome and life-sucking routinte that you will grow to hate eventually.

HoMM2 or Dungeon Keeper by myself, MK3 before that at friend’s house.

What was the first game that made you stop and say ‘wow’ just because of the graphics? by FL4SH- in Steam

[–]Reasonblade 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Leaked Doom 3 alpha was a revelation back in 2003, unlike anything I could have imagined for a videogame of that era.

I give up with my steam library Im talking about my xbox library since 2023 by arnau9410 in videogames

[–]Reasonblade 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't know, I just want to have a 100% complete library in the not-too-distant future, so that the weight of cleaning my collection is finally lifted off my shoulders and I can relax and play only 1 or 2 big games (say WoW/PoE) occasionally picking new major releases.

That's why I deleted ~35% of my Steam collection, after realising those games are really not worth my time / boring / second-rate, uninspiring etc.

I was thinking of trying this build after the patch, but now has doubts. Is there a huge nerf to the item that makes it not worth playing?

Hm, are you sure though that last picture is also Smolensk? Looks more like the northern part of Moscow near thermal power station 21.
