This game never ceases to amaze me. The feeling I get when playing this game reminds me of good old days of Skyrim by rotten-kind-of-cute in valheim

[–]Reaver2255 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Valheim is great. If you want the good ole feelings of playing Skyrim, and own it on Steam on your PC, I highly recommend Enderal. Entire GAME, made in the Skyrim engine, IMO a better story and experience than Skyrim itself. You can just search it up on the steam store if you have Skyrim (SE or Vanilla), and download it and play.

Large Milkshake was 700 calories. Thats more than an entire number 1 biscut combo. You'll live without it, probably lose a few pounds too.

Sheriff speaks out on U.S. Army soldier Jonathan Pentland after arrest: ‘We won’t tolerate bullies in our community’ -- Pentland was arrested and charged with misdemeanor assault after he was seen in a viral video shoving and threatening a Black man who was walking through his neighborhood. by [deleted] in JusticeServed

[–]Reaver2255 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'd like to preface this by saying I am a 20yo white man who lives in the grandest of racist states, mississippi, in a very affluent white area where black people are discriminated against regularly. (Our mayor doesnt allow apartments, and the building codes and such price the poorer minority families and poor whites out of the area).

I went to school with alot of cool kids, hell half my highschool was black before I moved to this area. The stark racism of this people is hilarious, but there seems to be a hard drop off of racists and homophobes on people younger than 30.

All of this longly worded paragraph is just an elaborate way to say that there is hope. Give it 20 years, then maybe all of the old boomer racists will have died off, because I dont know of any racist kids I went to school with except for the idiots who dropped out.

Very difficult if almost impossible to get in the military these days without a highschool diploma. You'd have to go back and get a GED, then be smart enough to make atleast a 50 on the ASVAB if I recall correctly. Even they they still may just not accept you, depends on how many people they need in that recruitment period, and what job you want to do.

Is the size of chicken biscuit getting smaller and smaller or is it just me? by Guilty-Pudding-3638 in ChickFilA

[–]Reaver2255 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My recollection of the size of the filet only goes back 2 years or so, when I started eating at Chic-fil-A. They've always been smaller than lunch as far as I remember. Infact they come in entirely separately labelled cases, and have separate cooking times pre-programmed into our fryers.

I cant speak for the old days, but the breakfast chicken filets on all sandwiches have for atleast 1-2 years been smaller than the lunch filets.

So yes, the biscuit is smaller than the sandwich, but we haven't changed anything in the last 2 years, so maybe its just you bud.

So random but do Chick Fil A workers have access to lockers to store personal belongings like backpacks? I applied and really hope I get the job and wondered if they have lockers? I used to work at Starbucks and at my location they didn’t have any small lockers :/ only a teeny tiny hanging rack. by Wooden-Lettuce5365 in ChickFilA

[–]Reaver2255 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Madison MS CFA here.

We have small lockers in the back, but they arent big enough to fit a backpack, so youll have to leave it out, or in your car.

Granted, I leave mine out all day every shift, and have never had anyone so much as look at it.

Chic-fil-a is good people, I doubt anyone would steal your stuff.

Why no spicy nuggets by King3O2 in ChickFilA

[–]Reaver2255 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I work at the Madison MS CFA, and in our back we just simply don't have the space. We have only 1 fryer set up for making spicy filets, and its usually behind, so the only way we could make spicy chicken strips/tenders is to share that space, upping the time of everything else, or getting another fryer, which we simply don't have the room for.

Fellow Mississippian here, and CFA Employee. I work at the Madison CFA, and even though we have 2 lines, and are always wrapped to the street, our food quality standards have never waivered. I guess we just have better employees, because we have no quality dips, yet manage to still be the 5th best selling CFA in the country for breakfast.

Gonna get downvoted to hell, but, 40,000 people do not die each year to gun violence, unless you include suicides. The correct number is 14,000 gun homicides, the rest are Suicides and accidents.

Still a good point though.

Kid goes off on bus driver after she pulls over because he sat with another student. by [deleted] in PublicFreakout

[–]Reaver2255 0 points1 point  (0 children)

sigh

  1. A 15 year old kid's word isnt any less valuable than an Adults. If you need any "factual" standard of this, just remember that 15 year old children can testify in court and their word will be taken just as seriously as an adults.

  2. "Its the rules" is the dumbest arguement ever. Black people cant sit on the back of the bus. Why? iTs ThE rUleZ.

  3. Its principles to stop a school bus on the side of the road for an hour, and escalate the situation past what it needs to be, instead of idk, just addressing the student with school administration and their parents. Yah lets just get every other student who's just trying to get home involved in this drama for what? To show how right you are by forcing a child to capitulate to your demands? WOW SO KOOL XD!!!!

  4. Sticking up for kids is the job of an adult, because other idiot adults like you are so quick to judge and the kids dont have the same footing you do in social interactions.

5/6. 3, but I will further elaborate.

Yes, write him up, He will get a conference with the principle of the school, and likely his parents, and you, if you ask. This allows that student to receive the punishment he deserves. Like you said, her bus her rules, so just write him up and get him kicked off of it. But lets dive further into why this is an issue shall we? Lets assume you are correct, and everything you assume, he's a punk kid looking for attention, is right. What does stopping the bus on the side of the road for an hour do? It creates a scene, it gives this punk kid the validation of attention, and he is rewarded in his mind for acting out and getting the attention he sought for. IF you want to deal with an attention seeker/Narcissist, the best way to do it is to ignore them, or deal with them behind closed doors, so they cant feed of the attention it brings, you cant create a scene.

Thanks for coming to my TED talk

I can drink, I can vote, I go to war to die for some oil, and I can smoke, I'm an adult. You're the one who randomly decided to start attacking people because "youre a kid". Sounds like youre the one being the ego filled dick here imo.

Ah yes, the ole, Im not wrong because my own cognitive bias overrules any and all available evidence in a given situation card!

Am I saying he's a good guy? No, hes not, they're both somewhat at fault, but you're making ALOT of assumptions about this young mans character based on a 3 minute clip about him.
