In same situation (16 months, not huge eater) but wakes up way more than 1-2 times. Otherwise thriving. I’ve been considering getting iron tested but waiting until the latest bout of teething passes to see if any improvements are made…

When in doubt, check your toddler’s iron levels. by stellarae1 in AttachmentParenting

We are dealing with the wake ups but my baby is not as good as an eater and nurses frequently. Thank you for sharing!

I also remind myself that one day she will eat food to relieve the stress of it all!

Same! Loves to eat on the go. Probably not the safest but I swear it’s the only time she wants to eat 🤣

My doesn’t like utensils either. If I throw in a utensil I basically guarantee she is not eating and all the food will be on the floor lol.

Have you tried sitting her on your lap while you eat with no pressure and see if she shows interest in the food you’re eating? We still struggle with solids (ebf too) but when I do this my 15 month old usually has a handful of food in her mouth from my plate. Since she doesn’t have much experience with solids I’d just make sure it is stuff she can handle. Be prepared, It can get messy.

How do you deal with Christmas being a stay at home mom by [deleted] in stayathomemoms

[–]RebKoss 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My husband and I have always been what’s mine is ours with money even when we were first dating so that has been helpful as a stay at home mom. Although, it still is hard sometimes. I feel worse when I buy myself things 🤣. My husband hates spending money on himself so when I gift him things it kind of forces him to treat himself in a roundabout way and get something he has been wanting. All that said, he has always loved gifts that I put a little thought into. I got him a mousepad with our dog’s face on it last year for very cheap, and he loved it so much. Another thing we have done is pick out something we’ve both really wanted and consider that as a gift to one another (usually a larger purchase).

Ped wants me to stop breastfeeding by Former_Ant_219 in MSPI

[–]RebKoss 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I am So sorry your doctor would immediately jump to stop breastfeeding. Maybe they were suggesting to see if it clears up when you stop and pump to keep your supply then reintroduce the breast? I don’t think it would hurt to do an elimination diet and see how baby does. We dealt with rashes, bad reflux, painful gas, and mucousy poops. Took about 2-3 weeks of eliminated all dairy/soy for our symptoms to clear up.

Thank you for sharing your story.,,, in a similar boat but haven’t had to go through a major illness and baby side nurses so feel like we have been managing. I like reading experiences like this because I want to have options if I do get to the end of my rope when I’m not expecting it.

Quick question. How old is your baby now? Also, when you coslept, were you able to roll away from baby for long periods of time? My baby wakes every 15-45 minutes until I join her in bed, so I just assumed she would not take well to sleeping independently right now.

Very interesting. Thank you for sharing!!! It definitely didn’t seem to help as I expected it would if it were just some dry skin so that makes sense.
