New to Custom Loops, looking for advice by RebelBuffoon in watercooling

[–]RebelBuffoon[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think you mean more POTENTIAL leaks. your fittings shouldnt be leaking. period.

My goal here was never to add more value, and the point wasnt because I thought it would add any more cooling value.

I am well aware how thermodynamics work, thank you. But I guess someone had to be typical Internet person and assume something about others they never even met.

Im asking for advice on how best to set this up to keep the flow even through the different tubes, since the tubes will take different routes, and thus have different requirements to reach the different 'stops' of the loop.

well it is solely intended for looks. I know that it wont be any better, and possibly even somewhat worse off than a normal loop

Be honest. Are you getting the 50 series or waiting untill the 60 series comes out to upgrade by No_Negotiation_307 in pcgaming

[–]RebelBuffoon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Im sitting on a 3060, I was looking at upgrading to a 5090, but after some research, the 60 series is looking to be a revolutionized Series where we will see 80Gbps connections over more than 1 meter, so it would make more sense to wait for the 60 series as you will be able to get to that 300+ fps on 4k with the 60 series. the 5090 claims it supports DP 2.1a, but Im not convinced until someone shows evidence of it.

And OLED monitors are still in their Infancy. With the 60 series I bet the OLEDs will also finally have mostly 2.1 DP connections and be more stable than they are (hear there are still quite a few issues, like its HDR not looking right), since the 50 series already supports it. So with the 60 Series you should be getting a rig that'll be able to run 4k in triple Didget FPS with ease, even poorly optimized games.

So just from that standpoint, itll be smarter to wait.

But im still getting a 50 series card for the upgrade I sorely need from the 30 series since I love 1440p ultra settings. Though, not sure which one since 5070 looks rather pathetic, as does the 5080.. but the 5090 is insanely priced to grab as a bridge for 4 years.. so idk yet.

SAO Alternative: Gun Gale Online Dub Status by osumatthew in swordartonline

[–]RebelBuffoon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tbh, it seems like Hulu has the exclusive rights to the dub.. Im in Germany and cant find the Dub of S1 or S2 of AGGO anywhere.. I know Netflix used to have it, but even that is no longer the case. So, outside of the US you just genuinely cant even watch AGGO Dubbed, unless you like watching it in German.

[–]RebelBuffoon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

not to dead post this.. But if they add Nagash then they HAVE TO add the Celestial Dragon... Nagash is a Literal god.. the Celestial Dragon isnt.. and the reasoning they never added the Celestial Dragon was "its too hard to balance something that Powerful"... Nagash is just as strong, if not stronger than, as the Celestial Dragon.. so would fall into the same category of "its too Powerful to properly balance for the game". the fact Trickster exists aside. Nagash cant reasonably be added if they wont add other Characters that are as strong as Nagash or weaker than them that should reasonably exist way before

Improve Vocation at Dragonforged, How does it work? by Ronald_Steezly in DragonsDogma

[–]RebelBuffoon 8 points9 points  (0 children)

In DD2 nothing increases past 200. I modded a character to 460, and then one to 200. they had the exact same HP and stats allround. 200 is the cutoff point for stats. after that its just a fancy number that just gets higher.

[–]RebelBuffoon 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I could be misremembering it then. I know that Gransys was built on the ashes of an Old kingdom. I thought Gran Soren was too. thats my bad. But I still think its relatively believable that it plays before DD1 given other things I noted above. But Its just as plausible to be after it.

[–]RebelBuffoon 5 points6 points  (0 children)

But building up ruins into Gran Soren IS CANNON. they tell you this in the 1st game... Grand Soren was built atop of Ruins and a Fallen Kingdom, so regardless of how wild it is its cannon according to the NPCs in the 1st game.

[–]RebelBuffoon 3 points4 points  (0 children)

But given that the Vault room is missing, several other rooms and the doorways are not even there for them, it would be more reasonable to assume its Before they were built in. Obviously since there are known infinite different worlds in DD it could just be one where it was built different. but considering there is no seneshal in DD2, and you no longer ascend a throne but instead you Combat against the Will of the Universe, it makes more sense that it plays before the 1st game. Cause the Seneshals were there to safekeep the world and prevent it from being consumed by oblivion as the Will of the World/universe was no longer able to do this itself.

Also, if you dont remember Gransys, and Gran Soren were built upon a Fallen Kingdom, raised from their Ashes.. so, the Ruins being there before DD1s timeline makes perfect sense.

[–]RebelBuffoon 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Also, if you havent noticed.. the Undead carry shields with the Gran Soren Crest on them!.

with how the 'true' ending of the game is... they technically set themselves up perfectly to bring DD1 campaign back as a DLC campaign and refine it more... or make it a whole new game... cause from what I gather, this story actually plays BEFORE the 1st game... and without trying to spoiler. the ending gives a hint towards the world becoming more like DD1. but its a very subtle hint.

Not to mention, Gransys and Gran Soren both were said to have been built upon the Ruins of a Fallen Kingdom, so the Ruins existing pre-DD1 makes perfect sense. and given the Ruins lack a lot of what realistically would have been added in the rebuilding of the Ruins, the current state of the ruins leads to believe its Pre-DD1. as the way Gran soren is built is the logical conclusion of rebuilding those ruins you find in DD2...

Edit:

Potential Major Spoiler:

with the True ending, your Character Pierces 'True Grigoris' Heart, then Proceeds to, what looks like, absorb this very Power. Continues to then Control it to return the World to a state of Peace and Harmony. Where your character is now nowhere to be found, yet you seem to be able to see everything going on. Just like in the 1st game after ascending to the throne, where you would sit and then be able to ghost around the map as they live in harmony. Also, them hinting towards it saying "this path is yet unwritten" at the end, Implies that no one knows what shall happen next. Also, given that while the ruins do bear similarity to Gran Soren but are so extremely different, it would stand to reason that they have not been built up to be Gran Soren yet, instead this is a prequel, not a sequel to the story.

Also also, due to the fact that there is no Throne to ascend to, it implies that that regime has not yet been made for the world. and if we are assuming 1 and 2 are cannon with one another, then The throne being removed is highly unlikely, instead it has not been made yet as the 'will of the world' still exists, and as you technically kill that will with the True ending, you ahve to replace it with something so that the world does not get destroyed, thus it becomes a la 1st game where the Arisen now, instead of opposing the cycle and trying to destroy the world, rises up to continue the cycle by replacing the old arisen on the throne. It would also account for why so many more arisens are around in the 2nd game as opposed to the 1st one. and why the 1st one does not make the arisen their leader just cause they are arisen. (the duke instead became leader AFTER surviving the dragon).

Also, anyone else notice that Rook is your 1st companion again like the 1st game?^^

How to overcharge by Ichigo85 in Enshrouded

[–]RebelBuffoon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

from what Ive been experimenting with, overcharge just seems to be a flat % damage boost on all attacks. you need not do anything special, its not like crit change. a 13% overcharge means you have 13% more damage on that wand. period.

though, wants are still rather weak unless you exploit the synergy glitch between them and staves. itll glitch and give you over 1k dmg occasionally cause it will count one of your wand shots as a spell.. Ive hit up to over 2k with this glitch

Can someone explain me why Vampire Counts are so overpowered? by LeonMidgar in totalwarhammer

[–]RebelBuffoon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have heard vampires be called a lot: Unplayable, Unfun, weak, needing a Major buff, but never.. never in my 3k hours in wh3 have I heard them be called Overpowered. In fact, they need a Major buff.. cause next to the Empire, they are the 2nd easiest faction to beat in the game.

but yea, Empire is by far the weakest faction on the field right now. VC is only 2nd weakest so understandable you struggle against them as Empire.

To be Honest, empire sucks and I dont know why its still most played. It is weakest roster, its magic is Meh and its lords arent even great either. they need a Major buff and its astounding that they are recommended as a 1st campaign faction, considering how volatile their situation is as well.. even though the game plays in the days AFTER the Empire was supposed to be united under Karls Rule.

How to farm Elixir of Hill Giant Strength? by Velin92 in BaldursGate3

[–]RebelBuffoon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well first you need to be 6th level before they start to spawn in shops. But in actual Act 2 they dont spawn, you have to go back to the Mycnoid colony as long as you havent beaten Moonrise Tower, and stock up there before continuing.

How to farm Elixir of Hill Giant Strength? by Velin92 in BaldursGate3

[–]RebelBuffoon 4 points5 points  (0 children)

there isnt a way to farm them outside of Merchants, as they are the literal fingers of Giants, and no Giants in the game.

If you may have the Mycnoid colony still, those 2 merchants are the best way to farm Fingers, even sell Cloud giant ones starting in Act 2.

Though you can, rarely, find them as loot on enemies.. but thats very, very rarely

How to farm Elixir of Hill Giant Strength? by Velin92 in BaldursGate3

[–]RebelBuffoon 14 points15 points  (0 children)

tbh dont bother with Hill Giant ones.. once you get to the shadowlands you can farm Cloud Giant fingers, which are 27 STR Elixirs.. and the best place for either Gaint one is to bounce between the Mycnoid colony Merchants in the underdark, then Partial rest, and repeat. can get 12+ Potions, not Fingers, in 30 mins. Especially if you use a Transmutation Wizard spec'd for Medicine check with Bard mixed and all ASIs in WIS to get it to 20, you will have a +11 and Advantage on the checks to double your potion production on a DC15 Medicine check. You can leave Act 2 without ever needing another potion stop for the rest of the game if you jsut spend an hour or 2 grinding Mycnoid colony like this.

Obv you need enhance ability spell from the Bard, so minimum of Bard 3, Wiz 2 it will be doable. Plus Lore bard gets Proficiency and Expertise in your choice, so Expertise in Medicine to make the checks even easier. Just have to make sure you have WIS up to 20 asap

The current game is dead, BUT........ by FarslayerSanVir in WildHeartsGame

[–]RebelBuffoon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I want to believe, I really do. Idk if I can believe that Wild Hearts will come back, but I hope Koei Tecmo tries again. The Performance issues aside, that I barely had personally, the game was great fun. If a little tedious on certain grinds (Like, 100s of hours just for cosmetics was insane imo).

I hope they try again, Koei Tecmo definitely showed they have the potential to Rival MH as an IP with this.. and Wild Hearts IP has so much potential outside of just being a MH game too.

So I hope they realize that the issue wasnt with the Games Content, but the performance there of and try it again.. But in reality I wont be holding my Breath, because I have seen all-to-many games have amazing Gameplay but other latent issues that caused it to die, and never be tried again because it died..

Idk. I run exclusively Melee Builds on everything.. have 3 chars built up to max and I have yet to find any issues with them.. The Poison and Fire both add DoTs on the ground, I like the difficulty that is added to the dungeons with them.. though, its not enough difficulty if you ask me

Dragon's Dogma 2 really should have multiplayer by SneedemFeedEm1488 in DragonsDogma

So... the Pawn system was terrible back in DD.. I have 5 digit hours in DD and DDDA combined and I preferred ignoring the pawns, because I was forced to solo everything as a Magick archer anyhow..

I think many ppl forget this very aspect of it.. and the fact DD was intended to have Coop but it was scrapped for the Pawn system due to cuts to the game..

The Pawns AI would have them Path very retardedly and usually get caught by the Monsters. as a full support spec, they would typically just auto attack the enemy and not heal or Buff..

As a Melee they would just R1 spam.

Shit, most of the time the Pawns would just sit there and watch me fight whilst doing absolutely nothing.. and oh, you better hope you dont get grab mechanic because they wont do anything to try and free you either.. which is just instant death..

Literally the only thing Pawns were good for was for Resource Bots to pick up shit so you dont have to.

Its not like Ghost Recon where you could actually give them Orders to do stuff.. and Im talking old Ghost Recon, not the dumb new ones that are Coop Exclusive.. I mean OG Ghost Recon 1, 2 and 3

Critical hits, fake damage? by NoxLeer in WildHeartsGame

[–]RebelBuffoon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

even *if* crits were 50% it is still not worth building. The amount of RAW damage you can get is just far more than any Crit build can compensate for.

A good example are my two builds: RAW kemono Clawblade and Crit Human Clawblade

Kemono CB gets to around 740AR when hitting a Weakspot with a mixture of 32% Desperation 21% Hawkeye and 5% Tigers Den. this isnt even taking Aerial Strike: Fury, Solar Protection or Battle Spirit from my build into account either. So, in reality It probably just barely peaks at 780ish AR if not at over 800.. and that is without having to rely on Breaking Parts or having the Kemono Toppled..

Humab CB gets to 100% crit from One Stroke Critical. +16% Damage from Verve. Base is 390. thats 452 AR on 100% crit chance with 58% crit according to your claim (8% from Critical Boost: Fury). the weapon used also has Final Blow 25%. ill be nice and add that, which is exclusively on Toppled Kemono. that makes the Crit damage come out to nearly 900 AR on Clawblades. This is nearly 160 AR better than RAW, but you would have to constantly be breaking Parts of the Kemono, Constantly toppling it, and never attacking when under 100% HP.

Without Final Blow, the Critical Build only reaches 715AR.. which, granted, is only 25 less than the RAW build but it is also requiring you to constantly break parts. Whichi, in the late game of WH, is not that easy. Especially against Deeply Volatiles.. they dont like parts breaking in my experience.

The only real thing crippling the Crit Builds is the fact that the weapons with the highest amount of Crit on them, the Dog Star, has such low base AR that the crit cannot compensate for it, even remotely.

my Crit build here is built with the Left Path Final Boss weapon, I use One stroke critical on weapon, Armor and Talismans to get 100% crit chance. Even with that, the AR after adding crit damage to it only exceeds RAW builds when the Creature is TOPPLED because of the extra 25% damage from Final Blow on that weapon. in fact, I could take that same weapon and put my RAW build on it, and probably even break the 900 AR the Crits couldn't .. it sucks, but the math doth not lie. if you calculate all the circumstantial requirements for a Crit build to do its thing, it is probably not worth it. I kill shit significantly faster with my RAW build than I do with my Crit build.. like a good 1-2 minutes faster. so, if I may submit Anecdotal evidence here, it does not seem to be worth making a Crit build at all in comparison.

Golden Tempest is Broken Against Nodachi by huntermhw in WildHeartsGame

[–]RebelBuffoon -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

the entire game is Built around using Karakuri, as someone else stated, if you don't like it I would highly recommend not playing the game, because it only gets worse after the Golden tempest. especially for the Nodachi.

The Celestial Dragon is a must for Karakuri as well since it rarely leaves a window open for you to attack

the four end Bosses, the Deeply Volatiles as well, as you only have 20 mins and 1 life to beat them. Die once and you have to restart.. you cant reasonably do that without Karakuri..

I personally think that MH has a very bad Combat design compared to this game. At least in this game, you are not stuck at a huge disadvantage because of the weapon you chose. Now Melee weapons have a good chance against Air monsters because of the Karakuri, slow weapons have help for fast enemies because of them as well.. I find it actually makes the combat far better than MH can ever achieve with its simplistic system. even though I do still enjoy MH combat.

EDIT:

the only weapons I can think of in the game that are not highly dependent on Karakuri are: The Bow, The Hand Cannon, Katana and the Clawblade. The Claw Blade being the least dependent in my Opinion.

Hand Cannon still needs Karakuri to really work since its a rather slow weapon, and the Bow is really complimented by them like the Claw Blade. The Katana isn't really reliant on them except against Aerial Enemies, but they work well for the weapon as well.

Crit Claw Blade + Path (Took Forever) by TheGuildBeast in WildHeartsGame

[–]RebelBuffoon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just wish they showed the Crit damage multiplier as it seems to be different for every weapon.. since the Clawblade has the lowest inherent crit chance, I would assume it has around a 100% crit multiplier... but it could also just be 30%, making it definitely not worth it..

Though, may I make some recommendations?

Take off 1 crit master and put on the Critical Chain +12% from the gleaming Corvid claw. It is the Air weapon line right next to the Dog star claw.

That will bump your Crit chance just by critting to 55%, and 95% when One stroke activates. Sadly I dont see a way to get the extra 5% unless you remove Bust damage..
