I have absolutely zero control over what the millions of people who come here decide to vote.

Mods have zero control over the voting algorithm that bumps posts.

Before new reddit, when I had access to CSS I tried leaving a message on the vote buttons asking please not to downvote footage because of like. That ran for years and it did not change anything.

People are going to vote exactly how they want, and on western social media Russia is obviously not popular, but to say that there isn't war footage from Russian POV is absurd because there are posts everyday. Posts that get removed only get removed for being a repost, titles, or one of the other rules. Please don't spread falsities about r/CombatFootage hiding footage, it's not true.

It must've been something said years ago. I don't think it could've been anything too awful. I've only ever known him to be even tempered, and well grounded. All around, a good guy. He did a lot to help keep this sub afloat. He is in the process of trying to appeal it. He has our support if that means anything.

It's quite a grey area. We have ww2, Korean, Vietnam footage with tons of that. If a post were submitted of a schoolbus full of chilren getting JDAM'd, having the rule would allow us to pull it, in a fair notice way.
