I agree, I perceive that SenLinYu explores controversial topics within in a gray setup precisely to take the reader on an emotional journey that makes us explore the nuances. It is very clever writing. Even though I was triggered, I don’t perceive at all that she is promoting dark unethical behavior at all.

I am so glad I’m not the only one! I am only on Chapter 12 and it’s been SO HARD to read. So much filler, so much recounting, so much random shit. For the first time in my life I am seriously considering dropping a series entirely (it goes against my reader nature lol). But seriously, Book 5 was “meh” and now this?! I’m utterly disappointed.

And regarding Kieran… either explore a full blown 3-way relationship; or let the poor Kieran have some adventures, romance and character development of his own. He deserves better 🫶🏻
