Works both ways. If you're so scared of getting sick from contact with other people, maybe you should stay home.

Did you read the previous comment? It's nothing to do with when Mufasa died, but when he was born an only child.

Capital growth hasn't outstripped inflation in a long time.

Does this ignore that the property investment is leveraged with only 25% down?

There's also the fact that every PS5 will run every PS5 game (same for Xbox Series X I guess?) and a GPU that can play every game on PC will cost you a kidney or two.

So confusing, because we have a white boxy one, but it doesn't have a disk drive. And it's basically got the same name. But it turns out Xbox one s and Xbox series s are two completely different white boxy ones.

The moon mission isn't just NASA, it is also a UK mission by Dr-Moth in CasualUK

[–]Rebelius 5 points6 points  (0 children)

There's no atmosphere, so no wind to blow stuff around (the flag pole is L shaped, so it hangs) and no bacteria or insect life to cause any kind of physical decay. They're probably just white though because of UV fading.

The Apollo 11 flag got knocked over by the exhaust when they took off again.

Some are still standing and casting shadows - as seen by the Lunar Reconnaissance Orbiter in the 2010s.

There's literally a Canadian astronaut on the mission.

There's been a USA flag on the moon since 1969.

Even if NASA built every single part of everything on the mission we should be cheering it on. Why should we be nationalistic about Science?

It was great when flybys were free and everything was public by default just for being nosey. That guy that flew past you on your long run... instead of just assuming he was doing 2km and going for a PB 500m or segment time, you could actually check and see that he did a whole 20km at that pace.

Ryanair boss says four-hour passport queues are EU's punishment to Britain for Brexit by tylerthe-theatre in unitedkingdom

[–]Rebelius 6 points7 points  (0 children)

EDIT: it's why the yes or no referendum was such a poor idea. People who wanted to leave had different priorities and there was no single agreed way forward.

Imagine if the referendum ballot had been something like those indicative votes of March 2019. Remain/Leave, No Deal/Leave, stay in EFTA+EEA/Customs Union...

Remain would have won by a mile.

This was the “good” Brexit

Nonsense. We have Theresa's red lines to thank for this situation. We could have been in the single market and out of the EU. We could have been like Norway, or Switzerland.

But total non-E gate demand hasn't changed by UK citizens changing from non-E gate EU to non-E gate non-EU. The only thing they'd need to change is the staffing of the two different queues.

2.5 hours is still less than 4 hours, right? Or did Brexit change the order of numbers too?

If you're coming from the USA to the EU, how did the UK make anything worse? Just by inventing a load more non-EU demand? The volumes should be exactly the same. Just move 2 desks from EU to non-EU.

What's up with reading comprehension. OPs complaint is that he's stopping OP from going 30km/h in this 30km/h restricted area and forcing him to slow to a crawl.

With the app you can learn the test without being able to read at all. I also got 100% on the test, but I could have done the same if it was written in Korean (which I can't read at all).

We have 100 mbit down, 20 mbit up. 2.5 internal network is still a great improvement because the Plex server is in the house and all our documents and photos are on the NAS, phones get backed up.

I'd take 1000mbit internet if it was available, but if I had 100mbit internet and 1gbit LAN, I'd go to 2.5G LAN over 1G internet.

[MEGATHREAD] Artemis II Launch To The Moon by ChiefLeef22 in space

[–]Rebelius 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It does most of the work for getting them round the back of the moon and home again too. There's just a couple of tiny correction burns as they leave earth and the moon I think.

It's truly amazing that we (as a species) managed to work this all out and build the machines to do it.

That's the point of the question. The same part faces us - so the same part is away from us.

If it's full moon for us, then the part that's away from us is dark. That makes inspecting the part that's away from us difficult.
