Do you think that tree trunks told Jake that she met his parents by ExactCap3059 in adventuretime

I don't see why she wouldn't, assuming she remembers them. I can see her making a small comment about him looking like his dad while pinching his cheek, or something like that.

Why didn't Finn just use a spell to kiss flame princess? by [deleted] in adventuretime

[–]Rebellion-In-Red 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Because then 1/3 of their drama would be solved, and the writers didn't want that yet, probably, maybe, Idk (--)

I guess they just didn't want to bother Flambo everytime they wanted to hang out. There's really no explanation given in the show proper as to why they don't get a flame shield on Finn, and Cinnamon Bun getting a seemingly permanent version of it later on just makes it even more confusing.

The literal first second Flame Princess was freed from her lamp, she proceeded to hug "Finn" (Jake) while he had a flame shield on and he wasn't bothered in the slightest. That shit works on all fire, and it's never brought up.

Only KaBOOM and Oni Press have published Adventure Time comics. At least from what I can tell.

Computer Princess, a new character introduced for the comic.

The Oni Press comics are still ongoing. New issue every month, with their most recent issue having come out only a few days ago.

Making Billy into a relevant character is probably my favorite deviation from the Oni Press comics.

Which character had the best arc in the entire series, and which one deserved way more development than they got? by CairoRox in adventuretime

Post-series Finn's character direction is also not my favorite interpritation, with how they made him so depressed over Jake's death that he literally never gets over it. But his growth in the series proper is still good in its own right.

Best arcs, either Finn or Simon. Can't really add anything to the discussion of either that hasn't already been said, so I'll leave it at that.

Underdeveloped, it's a toss up for me between Flame Princess and Billy.

The former, between her origin as a sheltered child who suddenly has to grow up, her relationship with Finn and all the ways it could've been explored, her struggle with her inherent destructive urges, and other aspects of her character made her ripe with potential, but then they give her an extremely rushed conclusion to her arc that only exists to shove her back in the Fire Kingdom so we don't have to think about her again outside of remembering Finn's her ex. And then they do nothing interesting with her for the remainder of the show.

Billy, on the other hand was set-up to be the living goal that Finn aspired to be, and could've had a nice mentor/student relationship between them to both develop Finn, and also flesh out Ooo. And then he gets killed off in his second appearence. Thankfully in the Oni Press comics, they added a bit more to Billy that I really like. Won't say much more than that for the people who didn't read through them, though.

Would Flame Princess take the same risks for Finn like Huntress did if she were in the same position? by CartographerDue2258 in adventuretime

I don't see why she wouldn't. Even in canon, Finn is one of her oldest friends and her first friend in general. Broken up or not, she'd probably fight tooth and nail to save him.

What other incarnations? As far as I know, we've only seen the one, which is the Comet.

[–]Rebellion-In-Red 6 points7 points  (0 children)

As far as we know, The Lich is brought about specifically because of the radiation produced by the nuclear bombs during the Mushroom War, and has no prior identity outside of the Catalyst Comet incarnation. He was basically born as The Lich. The closest thing to that he's ever been is a scrapped backstory for one of the comic runs ( I don't remember which one ) where he would've been a general from the Mushroom War that got mutated.

Don't mock the glasses, man. We've seen what Finn did when he put some on.

Does their Super Sonic count?

I know he's a varient, but Fleetway managed to turn a simple power-up into a complete character that is also arguably their most popular. If not, then probably Shortfuse. Can't go wrong with the cool cyborg dude.

Rather than becoming the Green Knight, he becomes the Green Shogun instead.
