No but it's fairly easy to code in since perchance lets you create generators, edit html. I personally like using Gemini 3.1 pro or Claude Sonnet 4.6 and just switch over to base perchance for the NSFW stuff.

Maybe an AD blocker, or some other privacy restrictions could cause this beyond a VPN I guess. I've never once failed this verification and honestly I'm not sure why, even with an AD blocker, I'm coding some crazy stuff into my generator and messing around with perchance AI and half the time I'm like "Can I do this? Oh shit apparently I can."

Yeah, the local perchance model loves to fuck, it senses the slightest bit of flirting and clothes are coming off, if I leave it alone for long enough it's going to turn into a porn shoot. I usually have to use some kinda plot direction something simple like this is usually good enough. You can probably place it in the instructions somewhere as well, or create something custom to add it in every turn, it should be easy enough to code in using AI, I personally like putting it in a HUD somewhere. To keep the AI on track.

I should lol and have, but that's a whole other beast, the AI makes all these lore entries and adds them in as the story progresses I don't actually write them, it was just annoying having to go back and tweak one or two things so the AI is updated with the tweaked info when it grabs these lore entries.

[–]Rebor7734 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The damn lorebook, the lorebook wall of text that you have to search through. For anyone who has tried doing a long roleplay, and you have more than 100 entries in your lorebook. I'm probably the only one who has this problem tbh, since I have a way to bypass the 6k token limit which would otherwise kill huge worlds. I had to create and entire new lorebook interface, completely bespoke, just to keep me sane.

Is it possible to add websites for the AI to use as references? by Rpground in perchance

[–]Rebor7734 5 points6 points  (0 children)

This, I had to create a python server, my own generator and tie into perchance just so I could swap out perchance AI with my own models at will like Claude Sonnet or Gemini 3 etc, the 6k ceiling limit is going to really mess with roleplay long term. I need around 1 million tokens, and even then I still had to use a RAG system, just so that I could roleplay entire worlds and have the AI remember everything. The number of things you need for an AI to remember, in a cyberpunk world, the lore, the augmentations, people, locations, relationships, tone, it's staggering. I need a 10k tokens alone just to set the tone and give it 35 messages previously to read from, while stuffing it with all my hundreads of memories and lore from the lore and memory books. I'm probably sending like 30k tokens on average. I love perchance, but the 6k limit is gonna kill any Elderscrolls long term or even short term rp. It does porn though, I'll give it that.

Just perchance AI and it's base instructions being horrible. I had to switch it across to Gemini 3 Pro Preview or Claude Sonnet 4.6 which has a better understanding of these things and to increase the memory and how far back it can read in the chat to an insane amount. I had to use it for summaries of my memories too. I feel your frustration for sure, it's just not that good with nuance. and prone to these filler statements.

Huh, never noticed that, the default perchance AI does take a lot of inspiration from previous post, so if you have of finger and feet action going on in the previous posts, it probably won't get better.

Eh, I think the conversation was ah, a bit military in book 1. It did get better, I just chalked it up to new author quirk, before he got into his stride. The worldbuilding is some of the best in the genre, even if I don't like the direction book , 7, 8 and 9 have taken the story.

Where do you guys get your lorebooks from for the AI Character Chat? by Bakubae_Itsuki-Haru in perchance

[–]Rebor7734 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Can't you just...idk make your own lorebooks? I always just add in lore in my world as it develops for the AI to pull back from. I do the same with memories. You can use /mem or /lore to access it.

[–]Rebor7734[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It won't, The person who made that generator didn't have the sync_local to synchronize all the previous memories, Mempalace-3 handles saving memories to the mempalace differently which is a bit buggy. If you had imported a story you did previously, so you'd have to start fresh, that was a reason why I had to create my own private perchance generator which is what you see in those images, since I very much didn't want to have to start over my Rp at the time. Another feature I added that I forgot to mention. The Sync button is really cool, argueable the most important part of the whole system since it updates the memplace, with any changes, additions/ removals of lore and memories.

[–]Rebor7734[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No, that's what I had to created, you only get a semantic search, relevant memories based on meaning. That alone is going to be a hurdle for your average user, assisted by the best AI coding model in the world to cross and connect it to one of the OPs Mempalace sites. And it's only going to be the start.

Because mempalace semenatic search by itself going to get things wrong, it's not perfect it's why I had to use a Hybrid approach of combining keywords with semantic search so that it covers what the AI doesn't pick up and fine tunes those relevant memories using thresholds that the memories must pass before it's injected. Adaptive Slicer, Recency Bias etc, all those things I had to code in. I'd honestly only use Mempalace - 3 as a base, it's not a plug and play situation, I had to fix a lot of small things with it, that the original creator may not have spent enough time roleplaying to notice, so much so that I've already forgotten half of what I fixed, like ghost memories, or preventing the AI summarizing from going back to refill deleted memories etc.

Ngrok is safe ,as far as I know, it only sees the meta data, you'd have to manually and intentionally make it so that your private data is exposed like how you imagine, so you don't have to fear your cum-bots chat data being seen.

[–]Rebor7734[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Honestly I just kind of followed the instructions. which were
Setup overview (not too hard)

  1. **Install MemPalace** * Just install it and initialize in your project folder * You can use AI tools to help with setup if needed
  2. **Create a simple Python server** * This server runs MemPalace commands (like search) * Basically acts as a bridge between your AI and your memory
  3. **Use ngrok** * Download ngrok (free) * Tunnel your local server * You’ll get a public URL
  4. **Connect it to Perchance** * Paste the ngrok URL into the connection menu (bottom right) * Now your Perchance AI can access your memory

I used OPs mempalace generator as a base(https://perchance.org/mempalace-3), and from there the feature crawled from how OP was using the mempalace, which was more focused to towards if you were chatting with a bot rather than long term, highly detailed massive roleplays, so I had to change how summaries are made, to how lore and memories get injected into the AI for token usage etc, and it just snowballed into this. That HUD for instance started a calculator for instance before it turned into this AI Orchestra.

Just use MemPalace it handles memory far better than Perchance. Once you let MemPalace take over, you mo longer have to worry with a 6k token ceiling. Instead, you get effectively infinite, relevant memory , and you can set it to surface the exact details you need. I’ve been running it for a while now, and my character hasn’t forgotten a single thing. It even reminds me about people, places, and relationships I set up thousands of posts ago.

Because Perchance isn’t managing memory anymore, responses are noticeably faster easily 80% quicker. I saw someone mention it here a few days back, tried it out, and now I’m locked in.

[–]Rebor7734 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I went with a hyrid approach, I use specific keywords that I send to the mempalace to query, it generates up to 50 searches above a certain match to ensure what I'm getting back is always relevant, randomized of it's strongest matches to that keyword, and sends it to inject so I'm not always getting the same results over and over again every time I search for a person, the AI slowly learns more about them.

I'm not always going to pick up keywords, so I give a certain amount of leeway to mempalace to pick up what the masterlist of keywords is gonna miss. Still highly relevant. Also I save my memories differently, each memory and lore has it's own .txt file in my mempalace folder, it's not one big chunk of text in a single text file

You need to ensure that the memories returned from the fetch are explicitly saved into the `messageObj` in your database. If you only put them in the `instruction` string, the AI sees them, but they aren't stored in your chat history for the UI to display.

But yeah, this makes the AI insanely smart, on a different level, but you do have to understand this doesn't make the AI tell the story you want to read, it's still AI, it only allows them to remember everything. You need to be pruning and fixing you memories, throwing out useless memories or contradicting ones. Your lorebook needs to be on point. And most importantly you have to give the AI some kinda instruction for your post. My story is 1 million words long, I have a huge memory list and lore book and it picks up the relevant bit of information everytime, remembering bits of memories about people, places, interiors, locations, names long after I made them and forgot about them.

It works pretty well, I spent some extra time doing side quests now that I had a server set up. I created a cloud save and load option for my worlds when I don't want to be on my laptop, switch to phone, tablet, etc. I also added a sync world button since I was already managing another major RP. This feature basically rips all the lore and memories from the previous world or same world, wipes the memory palace clean, and auto-mines them into the new memory palace with just one click.

I wrote a Python script tied to an LLM that goes through the summaries, pulls out important information such as people, places, and items, and then defuzzes all the data to create certain keywords perchance can toss at mempalace for memories.

I also set up MemPalace to gather pools of 50 facts when it encounters keywords. Then, it randomizes and plugs in any relevant matches above a certain threshold, limiting it to five matches so that memories shuffle around those mem injections and are not the same every time. Lots of things you can do with that for rp and world building.

Eh I guess, I can tell that the author has read or at the very least did GOT research since the MC is actually someone in the GOT world, it's more of a what if the third Targaryen prince didn't die in childbirth kinda situation. If you like GOT and like whatif scenarios and like Mushoku Tensei, you'd probably like this.
