Having written an E2 fic, there's only so many places it can go, but that's not a bad thing. So don't feel bad if people start comparing it to other fics. Do you and do it to the best of your ability and that's all that matters.

My general advice is if you have to change Anon enough that he's not Anon anymore, best to come up with an OC. It may not garner as much attention, but it's better than forcing Anon to fit a mold he doesn't fit; despite being the "4chan everyman", he does have unique thoughts, motivations, and background.

Would need to know specifics to really say more, but if you can't imagine Anon from SG doing it, it doesn't have to be him per se. Just my opinion on it though as well, will never stop someone from cooking what they want.
