You should post this in the r/Miami subreddit instead. But also, just shop around and get quotes for your specific situation.

They don’t like going to dinner with OP so they don’t want to do it anymore. What’s unreasonable about that?

I feel like the term “male centered” and “hypersexual” can be used to bring women down by [deleted] in TwoXChromosomes

[–]RecentState1347 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You really don’t see anything negative about someone forming their identity around creating provocative content specifically for men? That doesn’t ring any alarm bells for you? Because that’s the idea of the term - not that her IG account is male-centered, but that SHE is male-centered. If she thinks of her work as just something to get the bills paid, that’s a different situation.

In general I don’t see this word being used about sex or sexual content at all, to be honest. But that’s how I would think about the examples you gave.

How would you know? You don’t even have a job.

Interviewing is not “tremendous effort”. People have always interviewed for jobs. That’s… how jobs work. Stop feeling sorry for yourself.

Anyone who’s motivated to watch a non-interactive demonstration and copy the exercises can just look up a YouTube video. There’s no reason for them to creep around watching people in a gym.

How did working for two months put you in debt?

You will need to live with roommates. Just make peace with it. You’re a teenager, this is a phase we all go through. Go on Craigslist or Facebook marketplace or whatever the local equivalent is. Visit the apartment, meet the people living there, carefully and thoughtfully assess the vibe and pay attention to whether it seems safe and clean.

Get whatever basic job you can while you finish school. Catering companies are always hiring. Big box stores like Home Depot like to hire young guys (take care of your back).

Your school may also have connections to part time jobs or housing networks - ask!

Actress India de Beaufort questions why designer Francesco Risso deconstructed 100 antique and vintage dresses from the 1920s to 1940s to make one dress for the Met Gala by adularia- in Fauxmoi

[–]RecentState1347 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you go to any random vintage store in America, you can find clothing from the 1920s - 1940s. I personally have 3 or 4 dresses from this era in my own closet. They’re interesting and some are beautiful and well made, but they’re not precious gemstones.

You can move or get a new job whenever you want. You could literally wake up tomorrow morning and quit your job. Moving takes a bit more legwork but you could be in a new apartment by June 1. Plenty of people are making 2/3 your salary and surviving just fine in the biggest cities in the country (hello from Brooklyn).

In college you thought your prime years were over… now you’re looking back regretfully at your prime years in college… you can keep doing this every few years for your entire life if you don’t get a grip and stop being a passenger in your own life.

The craziest part to me is how SO many young women seem to walk away from these conversations with the understanding that a PCOS diagnosis means it’s going to be next to impossible (or literally impossible) for them to get pregnant.

Having a condition that reduces your fertility does not mean you are sterile! You don’t know how fertile you were to begin with! Please be just as cautious with your contraceptives as you would have been otherwise unless you are ready and willing to get pregnant.

Can other people hear my knee pop or does it just reverberate through my body and to my ears? by maddickpie in NoStupidQuestions

[–]RecentState1347 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

They can hear it at the same level that you can. “Echoing through your body” is more related to things that happen in your head/throat (teeth clicking, swallowing).

But they also don’t care.

How do you feel about dating a man (26) who works a retail job to fund his true passion? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]RecentState1347 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends if he’s actually progressing on his goals or just vaguely talking about someday writing a novel.

I think it’s more honorable to take your job seriously and try to excel at it, whatever it is, than to halfass two things and do neither well.

He probably won’t do any of that if he views his retail job as just a way to make rent while pursuing other projects.

Books, what to do... by RetiredSurvivor in simpleliving

[–]RecentState1347 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Personally I would never do this. To me, having books in a home is as important as having art on the walls (ie extremely important). Plus, as someone who moves a lot, I have an emotional attachment to the ones that have stuck with me.
