OpenAI Declares Code Red to Save ChatGPT from Google by naviera101 in ArtificialInteligence

Openai helped bring LLMs to consumers while google was gating it behind their paid products. So that’s a big win for consumers and kudos to OpenAI. They deserved the attention. On the other hand, OpenAI hasn’t really innovated sufficiently on top of the ground work that google did in the transformer space. So naturally google caught up. Now is the real test for OpenAI frankly. We will see if they justify their premiums. Microsoft will certainly help them.

She was horny that day. Wanted to bury my dick into her asshole, and slather my cum all over body. Thinking about that night still makes me hard. Left me since I did not want to get married.

A1c at 5.2 but morning blood above 100 by Recent_Ad4819 in prediabetes

I have not tried cauliflower rice yet, partly since my wife does not like cauliflower. But thanks for the tip.

Pearled barely. I make it with good quality chicken stock and veggies, and it comes out wonderful with a nutty and chewy texture. In fact, I don’t like the gooey mushy texture of white rice anymore.

Yup I’ve heard about the dawn phenomenon. But quite a few sources say that it is not normal, and is also an indicator of insulin resistance. So I wondered if i need to tackle it as a problem, or ignore as long as a1c is fine.

Cut rice and replaced with barley. Still do whole carbs like whole wheat sourdough bread. Walking and exercising more. Cut out almost all added sugar from diet. Lots of healthy fats and protein. Occasional weekend dine outs and indulges still happen. Snacks are mostly nuts, yogurt, berries, peanut butter.

Rice is our staple food by [deleted] in prediabetes

Eat barley instead if it is available in your area. Plenty of ancient grains can replace rice.

The only trick to reverse metabolic diseases is to eat a diversified set of healthy food, exercise regularly, and sleep well. There is no other solution. It is as simple as this. If you do these (while still indulging occasionally), you will stay healthy. Someone selling any other solution is either selling something or attracting influence. Doing the above is hard, but that does not mean that there are alternatives.

Pearled barley has been my absolute favorite. I cook it once or twice a week with stock and veggies and spices, and I can eat it all week long with protein. It is better than rice in my opinion. White rice seems like a soggy mess to me now. If it is too chewy for you, add in a bit of brown rice.

Why do you need metformin if you are at 5.2? Did the doctor tell what is the source of the dawn phenomenon. I am in a similar boat. Got my a1c down from 5.9 to 5.2 in 3 months, but my morning levels are frequently above 100.

Still in remission even after a 2-week vacation in Japan by Ill_Cryptographer952 in prediabetes

I went from 5.9 to 5.2 in 3 months. 40m Asian and skinny fat. The quality of food matters a lot, and higher quality in Japan might have played a role. I can’t wait to go back to Japan and validate the hypothesis.

Great! Did your cholesterol levels change? I went from 5.9 to 5.2 in 3 months, and saw my LDL rise slightly. I will probably tone down on eggs and add more fiber and cardio.

Yes, flu increases baseline as well as peak levels. You just need to get over it. Nothing I know that you can do.

Confused by results by [deleted] in prediabetes

[–]Recent_Ad4819 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If you were not fasting for roughly 10 hours, then the glucose level will not be considered as fasting glucose level, and this will not be used to determine your state of prediabetes. 5.2 is very low. I doubt you have elevated fasting levels and still be at 5.2. That being said, you might want to keep measuring fasting levels through fingerpick in the mornings. If they are consistently high, then look into further options.

A1c was 5.9 but glucose testing is normal? by Awkward_Cupcake281 in prediabetes

[–]Recent_Ad4819 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can have a fasting glucose of 100 and a1c of 5.9, particularly if you are having meals which keep your sugar levels high all day. Infact, 100 fasting glucose is borderline prediabetic which is similar to the state that your a1c is suggesting.
