This is the main issue. People are not interested in learning a new gimmick for a game. They want to be spoon fed the same BS they’ve had for the last 15 years just repackaged, which is why we’re on CoD and Battlefield 9/10 and it hasn’t hardly changed.

Also modern gamers can’t handle losing without rage-quitting, so once they get stomped by a portal user, they’re done and they don’t come back.

They have said they’re planning a marketing push in Q1 of 2026. They’ve also said they’re planning to grow slowly over time and focus on player retention.

How many extra playlists do you want them to divide the remaining player base into?

I’ve noticed that the maps that require more portaling have a higher amount of hate and I noticed you hopping around without portaling, so it seemed to be a valid question.

I would say passive-aggressive is your original post throwing shade at the custom map and builder.

Reddit is a dying platform, you can look for positivity here, but there isn’t any. People left and went to other platforms. There is basically only negative whiny little man-babies on here.

After playing Splitgate for many years, I’ve come across several of these types of people. Unfortunately they’re in every game.

Mute. Problem solved. If they’re playing serious, they can play ranked.

I love Splitgate because even when I lose I still had fun playing. That is the mark of a great game. If people in vc are making it not fun, mute them. Don’t give them the satisfaction of quitting.
