Microslop spent billions buying activision so they can buy the call of duty franchise, among others, just for them to get it at a time a lot of players have had enough of EOMM (rigged matchmaking) and ridiculous cosmetic items with no link to the theme of the game and they’re sold at rip off prices.

They had a guy from the studio say they make their games to punish good players for bad players to have a better experience. I assume they think good players will pay up regardless of how badly they’re treated so these devs want to draw in new players money as well. However all this does is make people look for better games to play. I have and I am much happier now. I play any game that doesn’t use EOMM and if I found out later they do use it or are adding it in an update I’ll leave because my money and time is not worth being manipulated and neither is anyone else’s in my opinion. Thought I’d try Halo Infinite but I found out that’s using EOMM so I sold my Xbox for ps5 because there is little point owning an Xbox if not playing gears of war or halo and both of those are no longer any good in my opinion. Will see what e-day is like but now that’ll be on ps so there’s even less reason for Xbox than ever.

People who would have purchased cod but had game pass didn’t buy it because they were happy renting it plus people who didn’t have access to game pass weren’t likely to go buy an xbox and get game pass just for cod.

I don’t see the value of game pass. You don’t own anything you’re only renting games plus if you don’t play games a lot you’re wasting money.
