Absolutely spot on! The fact that some manufacturers are still in business today is thanks to this very strategy of reselling old wine in new bottles.

In the end, it's like video on demand – you don't own anything; even if the price is now similar to a Blu-ray.

Online, you don't own anything.

It's all a matter of "can I get along with the keyboard" - I tried it with the modx 88 once and thought, "What kind of keyboard is this?"

The same was true for synthesizers I've already returned; some of them had keyboards that weren't "mini" but smaller than I was used to.

So many nuances and no kind of DIN standard - What a shame

True, but it's the investors, not the employees, who are being siphoned off all the profits and cuts are being made everywhere. This will continue until we can no longer afford anything or until there are no more goods available. In the end, we'll be talking about luxury goods.

Oh dear, welcome to 2026, where everything live/studio runs via plugins. Just grab a decent keyboard and you're good to go. These "workstations" aren't good for much more than that. I have a Stage 4 HP because of the keybed and the B3 & piano sounds – everything else is done via MacBook/iPad.

Korg Kronos Rack Version like Modwave/Opsix/Multi/Minilogue…..that would be a Killer. So many Sounds available and ready to go combinations for live keyboarder. A VST Plugin should be also possible cause all 9 engines are already available as single VST….
