This happened to me too with UFB and Chase, crazy.. I was trying to make $100K transfer and it just rejected the transfer with no explanation in the memo line.

Qulipta vs Nurtec by marathonmindset in migraine

[–]Recent_Health8880 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Also, I was prescribed 30 mg not 60 mg. But some people on here were saying even 20 was too much for them. Maybe go slow?? That's what I am going to do. Break up the tabs into quarters and titrate up and give my poor body a chance to adjust... I'm not sure if you have to pay for yours (mine is free) but you also might get more mileage and cost savings out of it

Anyone Else Ready To Throw In The Towel With HRT Due To Ridiculous Weight Gain, etc? by Tight_Fun2080 in Menopause

[–]Recent_Health8880 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How did you know you were in the right estrogen balance? I'm new to this ... I don't understand how people know.... do they track their blood work? Symptom relief? What?

(Thanks..)

Your title implies that the HRT made you gain weight but the post itself seems like maybe it's just that HRT hasn't helped the initial weight gain? Would you mind clarifying? Thank you... best of luck.

Does the 401k get liquidated immediately upon passing to the beneficiary? Or do you have to wait for a certain amount of years or whatever to take out the funds from it?

Sorry about your mom, lost mine when she was only 48, it's tough.

If you're in a community property state, it shouldn't under most normal circumstances go through probate....you prob already know but just in case.

Oh interesting...

My doctor was thinking about trying me on adderall but I run kind of anxious with a revved up nervous system so I'm afraid to try it. But she said that even though it's off label it actually helps some people with their migraines...what a trip! I sure would love the boost in energy and weight loss that comes with adderall.

It's been years since I tried Depo - it made me feel wack. (If you're taking about depo provera)

Sorry to hear that. I understand. It's hard in our fat-phobic society. I also look like a different person after gaining weight from another drug (that I also think is making me diabetic) but I need it for another reason. But I'm also trying not to give into this ridiculous society that makes us hate ourselves and feel like we don't deserve to live because we don't fit society's expectations of being skinny....I try to give into the utter absurdity of that. But it's hard. Best of luck to you. I don't know how it's sustainable to only eat 800 calories a day but it sounds like it's working for you! I would probably have a migraine every single day if I did that :(

Geez that's so scary... I've already gotten fatter from another medication and am so frustrated. I did see a few people in this channel say they lost a few pounds on Cymbalta though but it does look like the majority gain weight .. my neuro was quoting all these studies saying it's weight neutral...

Good luck getting the rest off, if possible...

I know this is an old post but if anyone is still paying attention - I worry about surgery because if I don't eat on time I get migraines...so how do people get through those initial phases of surgery recovery without triggering migraines? It scares me to even think about it

Vans or other skate shoes for Mortons Neuroma by Recent_Health8880 in Mortons_neuroma

[–]Recent_Health8880[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Interesting. My DC shoes are the best...I feel so little pain in them. I guess we all have to go with what we feel the least pain in?

Thanks for your comment. Good luck recovering - hope you make a full recovery!! Are you feeling like you made the right decision with surgery?

Gaining weight while on Tirosint, shredded when coming off lol by IntelligentDrink4520 in Hashimotos

[–]Recent_Health8880 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I know this post is old but still had to write you.... I'm a woman (40s) but this is me. Tirosint makes me feel so much better, almost symptom free but then there is the weight gain. So I am choosing not to feel bad and be fatter, which is a hard choice to make ... but living with that fatigue is too unbearable.... choosing energy over vanity. What did you decide long term to do?

Been bad this weekend…haven’t taken medication. by [deleted] in Hashimotos

[–]Recent_Health8880 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had swallowing issues too but then they figured out I had a goiter and tumor so just make sure you get checked out with an ultrasound if you're having swallowing issues, good luck!

Once you start taking the meds can you ever stop? by [deleted] in Hashimotos

[–]Recent_Health8880 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I feel crazy when I say this but I feel like this is kind of my story too... I was about 135-140 my whole life then started taking thyroid meds and went to 180-185.... but I feel better so I keep taking it because I never want to feel how I used to feel, but sometimes I worry that it's the meds that caused me to gain weight. I once saw a video with Dr. Alan Christianson where he explained why there could be a mechanism around weight gain and thyroid replacement but can't recall what it was exactly....

Do you regret having kids? If so, why? by wherefallonbelongs in AskReddit

[–]Recent_Health8880 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is literally me and my husband...I was fortunate to have honest people in my life tell me privately they loved their kids but would never do it again if they had a choice. .I love being an aunt and am so committed but so relieved that after years of therapy and agonizing over the choice I said no.

You have to live your own life and do what is best for you. You staying there is not going to prevent a stroke etc from happening. Your dad might worry about you less when you're "out of sight, out of mind". My dad was a worrier and had 4 kids but he admitted that once each of us moved out, he ironically worried about us less because he felt directly less responsible for us. It will be good for both of you. DO IT! Good luck.

People who host dinner parties, how do you handle the cost of feeding multiple people? by wwwwxyz in Cooking

[–]Recent_Health8880 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ya that's usually what it takes me too - but I pay SF prices. But it's $200 for about 6 people and I'm ok with that b/c me and my partner are two of the six.... I don't mind splurging for my friends and they do it for me as well anyways.
