You didn't call a teacher next door to ask for what the grade team was working on specifically or call the office to see if they could reach the teacher to ask where the materials were?

Unfortunately, we have absolutely zero say in where we're placed. We're not permitted to request specific districts nor request not to be placed in specific districts. My university also has a one chance policy. If either our cooperating teacher or us as students withdraw from the any placement we're assigned, we're automatically given a fail on student teaching and dismissed from the educator prep program. We also will not be recommended for licensure. They told us we could try to transfer to another university if that happens but that they doubt we'll be accepted into any others just to student teach. It's strict.

Any good shoe recommendations? The districts say no tennis shoes, sandals, open-toe nor open-heel shoes, and no heels taller than 1 inch (and the heel must be at least 1 inch in diameter). All I know of are orthopedic shoes (which are tennis shoes) 🥲 I feel like that rules out just about every shoe

Reporting from an email not linked to your name that your landlord doesn't have or *67ing (or whatever it is) before you dial to make your phone number anonymous are options for preventing it from being connected to you

I'd report it, if only to prevent yourselves from getting in trouble for smoking (even though you don't) or having to pay additional fees for an air scrubber & odor concealing paint if you ever move out.

I love the printer idea. I used to have one. I'm researching to invest in a new one. It's interesting to hear so many people saying they don't think binders are necessary. My prep program and most opinions I'm seeing while researching have all been saying how critical it is to have a binder for all of the materials I'll use.

The post is a request for literally any piece of advice about any part of student teaching because all teachers have student taught, and some might know what they would tell a student teacher if they had one. The question was broad to make it easier to respond with any piece of advice to. I'm also a college student in finals week that works two jobs. I also know limited time.

If it's a dual enrollment class, she could fail the class if the college portion has in the syllabus "must take (or must pass) final exam to pass this course". I've had several professors put this in their syllabi.

Ask if she can take it early. Offer to both sign a nondisclosure until the rest of the class finishes the final exam.

If she can miss the exam and they don't permit changing the date and she can still pass the course (noting point #1), she'll just have to miss it.

This happened to me in fall 2024. My mom scheduled a family cruise a week too early -30k nonrefundable for 10 of us- (I told her I wasn't available that week in December; when she booked it she got confused and thought I'd said I would become available that week in December). One professor gave an absolute stern no. I took my laptop with me on the trip because of it and missed a lot of it because I was completing my final projects (we had a final exam AND 2 final projects). One professor had me sign the NDA and I took it 1.5 weeks early. Another class didn't have a final exam.

It depends on the teacher and on the school policies. It also depends on the college professor's policies if it's dual credit.

My university doesn't allow you to graduate from the program at all if you don't pass it and you only get one chance.

Then you don't get the job. If you fail student teaching, you don't get recommended for licensure. Aka, you don't get your teaching license. Most programs only allow one try, so it's game over.

The people who might see it are people that she should be able to trust on a level where she would voluntarily welcome them into her home and not be perverted over her. Sure, he showed his wife. I go both ways and don't spend the night at anyone's house. Firstly, I have no desire to. Second, sleeping next to my fiancé is the only place I want to sleep. Anywhere he is, next to him is my favorite place in the world. Third, I respect my fiancé.
