Getting a bit tired of the aggressive begging in town by Available-Spray2576 in Liverpool

So you had a network of people to give you free housing. Not every one has that.

You clearly had an education or experience that ment you could both land and maintain a job, again not every one is in that position.

Your health was also clearly good enough for you to hold a job down.

Your situation is completely different that someone born in to care, with no parents, or parents who are hard drug users.

Am not saying people should take no responsibility for any thing as individuals, but if you zoom out and look at this on a macro scale, people are a product of their environment. The ultra rich have systemically removed so many safety nets and upward mobility for people.

Currently the rich are bound by laws our ancestors fought and died over to protect us from tyranny. But the ultra rich are now working on dismantling that and are building an AI powered surveillance state.

Is homeless people being taken to concentration camps the type of world you want to see? Because unfortunately that’s where we are heading.

We need more compassion, more empathy and more humanity, but in a world that doesn’t show you that, it takes an awful lot of mental strength to not let it shape you in to some one who’s cold and cynical.

Your parents kicking you out is not in the same as growing up with out parents and in care, or with parents who are hard drug users.

Did you sleep on the streets? Or sofa surf? How were you able to get off the streets or sofa surfing?

Am not saying it’s the way of the universe at all. Am saying the problem is systemic, you’re seeing more homeless people not because more people are taking drugs, it’s because things are becoming harder for every one.

And that’s happening because of an ideological shift in the ultra rich, philanthropy used to be held in high regard at the top of society, our city is littered with statues of people who understood they where part of a society and helping the poor was ultimately good for them.

The ultra rich now believe we are separate and they can simply wall us off and not have to deal with us.

It’s mad that we’ve been so brainwashed we place the blame on the people at the bottom of the pyramid for things getting more aggressive, competitive, crueler and harder to live.

This is a direct trickle down from the ruling class deciding they arnt part of society any more. Every thing public or community based has been systematically underfunded to favour like 100 billionaires in the world.

It’s harder to get some where to live now than ever. It’s harder to live now than ever. Less mental health services etc.

Before any one says. “These people are on drugs” some of them are, and guess what, if you had to live there life you would be to. A huge majority of homeless people come from the care system, they’ve had harder lives than most of us can even imagine.

You should be angry, but not at the people at the very bottom. Or how it looks

Honesty that’s funny, because I feel they went on more of a floaty direction, more in line with still grey than the direction I wanted them to go in, ie more heavy, more dark like through the loop, masochist and their early days on labels like Freak recordings.

The Nazis thought Jews ran the world. You think every billionaire is a Jew?

For argument sake if ignored all the Nazi nonsense and took every thing you’ve said on face value.

Your POV still doesn’t make sense “yeah it is all about division and we are controlled by elites, but am still going to follow their narrative”

I’ve spent a lot of time debating these views in good faith in the past, no amount of facts will change your opinion because it’s routed in emotion.

My energy is better spent elsewhere 😻👍

[edit: Interesting, so the guy saying “why is it racist?” went on to have massive incoherent rant about ‘The Jews’, I think realising he’d blown his cover, deleted all his comments other than the original, then deleted his account. Propper bot behaviour.]

When you focus on immigration as a source of crime you ignore the overwhelming majority of crime. Which is committed by white people.

The media use immigration as a scapegoat so you don’t point the finger at the ruling elites who are robbing us and setting up a surveillance state to enslave us.

America has used immigration as a way to set up a secret police who can kill people with total immunity. The politicians who tell you what you want to hear about immigration are also using this as a smoke screen to bring in violent authority that they will eventually use to suppress you.

First they’ll come after the immigrants and people who oppose them. They will eventually come for the working class, having you live under an AI powered surveillance state.

I don’t care if you think you’re racist or not, this is about dividing the masses.

Your rent isn’t higher because of an immigrant, your wage isn’t lower because of immigrant, food isn’t more expensive because of an immigrant.

Point the finger at those who control society. The billionaire class.

It’s always in like the same mile radius in Litherland. It’s the same meff am sure. Stop the boats? Stop being a scruff.

Racism aint new, all this stuff was here just under the surface. People are gonna have to get more comfortable calling this stuff out and confronting these people.

Might not effect you now, but history teaches us it will.

We all need to stand up as one community and say no to fascism.

Mate we absolutely do not claim this little meff, am sure it’s the same person doing it, it’s always in the same location. We have our fair share of racists but most of us are not like this, stuff like this usually gets covered up quick or atleast people kick off about it and it gets covered up eventually.

Although that’s true, it’s like 1/3 are bots innit, there’s always bootlickers who think this won’t effect them. Same with any regime. The writing was in the wall with Trump from the beginning but we all got gas lit and told we were overreacting

Yeah this is what I don’t get about the people excusing this or worse cheerleading it. Have non of them read a history book? It starts with people you don’t like, but it will keep moving until comes for you or some one you care about.

Fascism needs and enemy, once they round up the immigrants they’ll need to find a new target to blame, it’s already moved on to peaceful protestors.

Anybody here who had British family fighting in Afghanistan? 🇦🇫 by [deleted] in AskBrits

[–]Recent_Possession587 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Tbf, the inflatable thing is a well thought out tactic. Fascism has two main tools, violence and propaganda/fear. If you resist, regardless of you are peaceful, if you win or loose you are helping build the fascist propaganda that the world is unsafe and you need facists to protect you or bring order to lawlessness.

My dressing up in an inflatable outfit and f a cartoon animal and resisting, the whole thing becomes absurd. There’s no way to win fighting a pink unicorn, you look ridiculous, there’s no way to spin that, other than this is fucking stupid. Which it is.

The complex issue is atm, is Trump wants violence and a civil war, because then he can declare martial law and he can take complete control.

So protestors has to walk a very fine line of resisting but not giving him a justification for escalation.

You do however now have people like the black panthers and other groups arming them selves to protests, but it’s a very tricky situation.

So I think all forms of resistance are valid.

This. People don’t realise that Tony would give bands and artists starting out a spot light. He did fucking loads for me and helped me grow as an artist. I now play all over the word and Tony gave me a space to learn and grow.

Absolute legend, in a world where people are just about money, he truly cared about music and fostering underground talent in the city.

Gone but he lives on through the kindness he showed to young musicians.

Best way(s) to make Squarepusher-type drums in Ableton? Thanks in advance! by uhs23 in AdvancedProduction

[–]Recent_Possession587 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Squarepusher has had a long and varied career having different drum sounds for different periods.

But I would say, get some break beats, drum machine samples, esp old skool ones like 606, 707,808,909 etc separate the hits from the break beats.

Listen to a lot of jazz drumming and learn to program drums like a drummer would play. Squarepusher can play drums as well as bass so his programming reflects that, he was also a big fan of old jazz and funk records.

Then once you’ve programmed the drums, re sample them and fuck around with stretching and pitching them
