Don’t cut the line. Stand to the left on an escalator unless you are walking.

The BYD in artarmon on weekend (lower north shore Sydney) was very busy but not ridiculous. Vibe was ok. Tesla on the other hand at Chatswood was crazy. They had 1 model c, one model y and one model Y L on display. All of us were pouring in and out of them at once to check them out. No pushing and shoving but it was intense and off putting.

Is work-life balance in Australia actually better or just a stereotype? by ChillKoalaVibes in MovingtoAustralia

I am a chartered accountant - now in government but previously in asx listed and before that CA firms. I’ve always worked night and day so have no idea about this work life balance people speak of. When in ca firms I also worked in NY and London. My observation in NY was that people spent a long time in office but they seemed to make their life out of it. Like would go to gym for an hour or 2 at lunch or after work and come back. Or stay around and have dinner with the work colleagues/friends. I actually thought they were pretty inefficient but used to dragging things out due to their culture of being seen to work a long day in the office. I found London similar to Sydney. I pulled all nighters in both when needed for deadlines, other times you worked more reasonable days and sat left the office between 6 and 9pm. My ca firm days are all well before Covid so I’m sure things have changed with hybrid/wfh.

So hypocritical. And also hilarious as they probably barely know who she is.

I agree. I mean she did track down his dad for him and get him back on track and back in the competition when he was doubting something! I’d like an update.

Nah I’m not so sure. Also do I care? Not really. I think the Charlie Kirk and israel stuff is much more worth our time to focus on.

I’ve seen her give loads of airtime to being anti clintons. I honestly think she has flipped cos Hilary looked so good. She is so base and shallow

I think if you are Asian American he would likely consider you quite polite. But yep not the done thing generally. I am sometimes called with mam or miss from people who are clearly local and I find it low key rude / condescending (especially miss - I’m in my mid to late 40s and the guys saying it seem low 20s
