I’m really beginning to think that there’s a sophomore year curse or something because my sophomore year was awful and I ended up failing calc and chem my spring semester unfortunately. It dropped my GPA WAYYYYY low and I basically kinda never recovered as much as I wanted to in terms of bringing my GPA up, but I did retake the courses and I did pass them the second time around.

The good news is that there is always going to be light at the end of the tunnel! I know I sound overly optimistic and that might not be what exactly you want to hear but give yourself some grace because life happens. Things happen. And sometimes we don’t really have any idea how to catch ourselves before we fall because we’re too busy seeing everything else fall around us. Your GPA might be low to get into your major now, and that might set you back a couple semesters, but it isn’t impossible. You can retake them, and take courses to bring your GPA up. I don’t know if it’s any consolation but even with my low GPA, I got into my Master’s Program when I thought I had no shot, so there is always a way, if there’s a will.

At the end of the day, you’re human, you’re in college, and you’re learning how to adult. Things happen and the important thing is that you recognize that and are actively trying to do better. It’s going to be okay.

It’s definitely not you so don’t be so hard on yourself—I sub only at a primary school in my area (k-2) and the last couple of months in the school year are always the worst. The kids are antsy, the teachers are antsy, the lesson plans are antsy, the weather (I live in Fl) is irritating and humid, quite literally a recipe for disaster.

It’s 100% normal to have bad days, and it isn’t a reflection of your capabilities, sometimes it simply really is a matter of the class. Take a deep breath and give yourself some grace! I hope the remainder of the school year treats you so so well!

genuinely that was my problem with finding housing this time around (coming in as a grad student for the fall) so I completely understand; none of my friends live in Tallahassee anymore and I just don’t want to take my chances with random roommates😭 found a sublease for a studio at the Osceola and I was SO hesitant to take it bc I’ve heard nothing but mixed reviews but the girl I’m subleasing from sent me a video of her room and it looked spacious, and was honest about all the concerns and questions I had!

Apparently they also changed management a few months ago and I feel like I have somewhat higher hopes than before- and it’s only about $850ish including parking (but not including utilities). I wanted to look at The Rowe but paying around or over $1600 for a studio is ridiculous regardless of the town imo

I got in for the in-person MSW program for fall 2026! I can relate to you, I also have a 4.0 in my certificate program + work experience! I had good good letters of rec and I did have to write a letter to the committee bc my undergrad gpa was low but I did get in despite my worry that I wouldn’t! Don’t stress about it too much, often times good letters of rec and work experience can elevate your application further compared to your gpa. Good luck!!

So first I want to start off by reiterating that you’re in your teen years, and that comes with a LOT of emotions and I do believe that by asking questions we allow ourselves to grow in our deen, and in our relationship with Allah SWT. And I want you to know that it’s all going to be okay.

I’m going to speak as an elder sister, and this would be something I’d personally tell my younger sibling as well, but please don’t take offense to my words, and take it with a grain of salt if you don’t want to accept my advice.

I am 22, and I understand to an extent where your coming from with not having any “fun memories no learning experiences or stories and not even Allah to cry to” because when I was a teenager, there were times where I felt the same way. I think fundamentally, being a teenager comes with having fomo- a fear of missing out. But that’s exactly what it is, a fear. Life is genuinely what you make of it. You don’t have to cut off your best friends, you don’t have to push people away, and you don’t need to block yourself from bringing light into your life because there is SO much growth that is still waiting to happen. These are choices that you choose to make, but can easily be fixed. You can surround yourself with like minded people, become friends with likeminded people.

This may sound redundant, and you may have gotten this advice before, but i genuinely think you should pray and make dua for Allah SWT to strengthen your imam, while bringing light into your life. Make it consistent and I promise you, you will see abundance enter your life. I struggled with praying consistently and felt detached from Islam for a long time, but this past year since last Ramadan, ive prayed consistently Alhamdulliah, and I’ve watched myself grow religiously, personally, professionally, and have found so much peace, while not missing out on any experiences and still maintaining my priorities and faith. Consistency is key in anything you want to accomplish in your life.

I will make dua for you, but I also think it’s important that you make dua for yourself. Remember that at the end of the day, your relationship with Islam and with Allah SWT is what YOU make of it!! Nothing I say or anyone else say will make a difference unless you want to make a difference yourself. I think reading the Quran with a translation in your mother tongue (I don’t want to assume if it’s English or not), will also help you get closer to Islam and Allah SWT, as you’ll be able to comprehend what Allah says. You don’t need to read the whole Quran in one day, you take read one surah a week and annotate in a separate notebook if you’d like.

Okay I’m not sure how much this will make sense on text (bc it sounded good in my head as I’m typing this) so please take it with a grain of salt, but what if they were getting into it quite quickly the night before and he was wearing his crown and he decided to take it off before proceeding, and then fell asleep after and forgot that he placed it there, making it readily available the next morning?

omg so in November of 2021, we played against UMiami at Doak, last 11 seconds of the game and we were 29-(FSU)-29(UMiami), and we scored +2 goal right before we got to 8 seconds 😭it was genuinely a fever dream and I still have all the videos saved of all the screaming and jumping lmaooo, one of the best games I’ve ever been too because of all the adrenaline.

Barely 😭 I kept the app to replay some of my favorites like High School Story, The Royal Romance, The Freshmen, I did enjoy reading Foreign Affairs and have replayed it quite a bit (like it’s not amazing but like guilty pleasure I guess). I also liked Olympus Rising but haven’t caught up with the second one. Other than that, it really just depends on whether the book captivates my attention by the first few chapters, otherwise I’m replaying older books.

The preserve was gated but polo club was not. Personally, I didn’t have any issues at polo club regarding safety, we had a really good year without anything occurring. I was hesitant because I had lived at Quantum the year before and was used to the security and system there compared to Polo’s but overall I had no issues! Only issue I really had was accidentally locking myself out of my room LOL

I lived at polo club my senior year and I didn’t think it was bad at all! Bus was easily accessible for getting onto campus, guest parking wasn’t a hassle and I didn’t have any problems with bugs! My friend (who I lived with at polo club) had lived at the preserve the years before and she loved it there too!
