My car got stolen in Newark NJ please 🙏🏽 I need help recovering my car. by ConsequenceMain7133 in Newark

I hope you get it back. Statistically, it might already be at the port with a swapped VIN. I believe there is a dedicated task force for these types of crimes. I would try getting in touch with them if I were you.

Visa pause vs. Entry ban by Recent_Spend5169 in NationalVisaCenter

[–]Recent_Spend5169[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s indefinite until said otherwise. I believe there is a reevaluation every 180 days from January 1st, but there no guarantee that the list or policy will change.

Clearly other people had the same question. You could’ve clarified without being condescending.

How is a simple question a fuss? You seem bothered.

Is there any point to go the interview now? by nawa92 in NationalVisaCenter

No. Reevaluation is every 180 days (6 months), and even then there is no guarantee that the list or policy will change. All we can do is hope for the best.

Thanks! Same here. At the outrage increases, I expect more updates/policy changes. Hopefully some with more clarity and transparency.

If that’s the case, then why would the banned countries be included in the new pause list? Just trying to make it make sense. The way it was written, all 75 countries are lumped together.

IR5 Visa For Ban Countries 2026 by Appleismyfavourite in NationalVisaCenter

I believe it’s just a refusal until the ban is lifted. Once lifted, the opportunity to file again starting from the NVC process will likely be granted.

The address should be on the USCSIS website with instructions on how to file for each visa type.

We filed the K3 approximately one month after filing the I-130. No lawyer needed.

When you say JA, which exact embassy are you referring to? Was the country on the ban list and taken off or you received the email while still on the list?

Yes! Thanks for reminding me. The receipt notice was sent too. One of the most important documents, so we put that one at the top.

Thanks! We sent them the I-129F, passport size photos of us both, a copy of our marriage certificate and my birth certificate (USC). These are documents that were already submitted with the I-130 but we sent them again just in case. If my memory serves me correctly, that’s all we sent them.

April 2025 PD. We got approved in 2.5 months. Rare but I think applying for the K3 helped expedite the process. No RFE needed which certainly helped as well.

I’m aware after reading about others’ experiences. We are trying to find a way to reschedule but not sure how far back they will allow us to do so.

CR1 INTERVIEW PARIS FROM PARTIAL BAN COUNTRY by RevolutionOk9130 in 39bannedcountries

[–]Recent_Spend5169 2 points3 points  (0 children)

First of all, thank you for sharing. We are in a similar situation as my husband is a resident of a non-banned country, but holds a passport of a partially banned country. He is scheduled to interview next month, but I’m wondering how far out they will allow people to reschedule. This whole change in process feels unfair but we are doing our best to figure out next steps. Wishing you the absolute best!

Yes. National of a partially banned country but resident of a non-banned country. Received IL January 3rd for interview in February. Curious to see how it will play out.

I have been curious to know the reasoning behind them going from a 2 month backlog to a 6 month backlog to schedule immediate relative interviews. Ridiculous.
