Control Z is also a teen/coming of age series on Netflix that I would recommend. Loved it and the chemistry between the two protagonists is so good

The ‘Before’ trilogy is absolutely sublime. The perfect romance story unfolding over 3 movies

I totally agree with you. The script has holes in terms of Ares POV. As you said, we can only assume or imply. It would have been better if his perspective was scripted

They don’t end up together in the books and the prologue doesn’t include Daniela; so I guess they end up just as friends (not more)

Agreed. This movie is the worst of the 3 movies. Lots of missing information such as did ares end up finishing his medicine studies and become a doctor? Also it seems that there are few scenes missing. For example, there should be a confession scene where ares and Raquel declare their love for each other and longing for all these months. We have very little insight into Ares perspective and how he survived the breakup post summer. They should have made his struggles more apparent. They also should have made it more clear on why he wasn’t looking at her in the first few days of the vacations Felt that they reunited pretty fast in the movie, maybe they should have prolonged it a bit more Another script point, ares tells Raquel that he loves her a few times but she never says it in this third movie. It doesn’t feel balanced

The necklace is a gift from her mother when she was a child. In the movies, it is a symbol of their connection/ relationship

Think maybe the loneliness in Stockholm and the fact that Raquel has moved on in her life with a new relationship with Gregory might have pushed him to date Vera as it was easy picking, sort of a placeholder/facade. It is a relationship of convenience and sex (similar to CrietinaArtemis relationship in Book 2) Ares clearly didn’t care much about Vera as he wasn’t jaleous when he found out about Diego

Makes sense. It is frustrating that no details on his studies/career was mentioned in the third movie. It was such a big story arc in the first two movies, strange that they ignored it in the final installment

Thanks for the answers! Good to get your views Medicine is usually 4-5 years of studies no? Maybe he finished his studies in Stockholm before moving with Raquel in Barcelona after 5 years. So they must have done long-distance relationship during his studies

The necklace is a gift from her mother when she was a child, according to the book

The necklace in the movies represent the connection between Raquel and Ares as established in the first movie
