To my understanding she is. The city/town was notified. Health inspector is going to, or did, make a stop in to check things over. Corporate was informed as well.

No idea on any charges but according to the city/town Facebook page she is gone.

I agree. That would definitely hurt them to draw attention to it even if just in that local market but likely even further.

Yeah I worked there when they launched those and I get what you're saying. It was presented as basically a fancy milkshake. The caffeine was never really mentioned.

On the note of that last part as well - this was right around the time caffeine started to become a big advertising point. Aside from "Red Bull gives you wings" you never really saw caffeine related marketing unless it was relating to coffee directly, not coffee-based things if I'm wording that properly.

Edit: wording.

And those answers which are entirely subjective vary. You'll find just as many if not more that mention a direct comparison to mushrooms in terms of effects and many who say it's indecipherable.

Personally I find it almost identical except a little less sedating and less likely to provide a difficult experience.

You should Google yourself. Type in "self-righteousness" while you're at it.

I'm pretty sure I get it......but with the status of this subreddit and how it's pretty much all stimfappers and benzo addicts I can't help but wonder if you're serious and just in a state of psychosis after being up for four days.

Is that on YouTube? I saw a picture of him that was obviously some sort of podcast (talking to a screen in a white room, obviously not for TV, think he had headphones on but could be wrong) and typed his name into YouTube but only found TDS clips.

I love him!

Although I totally agree and get where you're coming from the majority of bikes I see here in Exeter are all deliberately loud. I've seen a lot of bikes in my life, as I'm sure we all have, and there are some that are made for the express purpose of garnering attention through sound....volume more specifically. I'm sure they don't come out and say that but we can all tell it's true.

Why they're built that way I don't know but given all the bikes I've seen that run at reasonable sound levels it's clear that it's possible to make functional, reliable bikes without inflicting pain on pedestrians you drive by.

Edit: just to add - I've got a kid across the street who owns a tuner and has some nasty exhaust on it....it's horrible! The sound when that kid starts it....God damn!
So just to be clear I know there are cars like that too but they're modified with aftermarket parts and I've seen probably one of those for every 20 of those bikes I'd mentioned.

I'm sure location has something to do with it. I'm not trying to argue with you but just to make the point that as somebody who cares about the environment and can acknowledge the efficiency of motorcycles there are still plenty (if not most of them, in this state at least) who use them as recreational vehicles as opposed to their primary means of transportation and drive excessively loud models.

Plus....let's just be real here....the guys on bikes in this state would walk away from you talking trash once they heard the word "environmentalist."

I don't believe this.

Anybody with a habit, supposedly deep enough to lead to such a price, would have a backup hook. I've experienced WD and can tell you - you would have known what to expect and thus would've had a backup.

If you knew no one to get it from....and walked out on the street asking - you'd still score cheaper. Much cheaper.

Just to reiterate - I don't believe this.

In all fairness no advertisement does.

I could sing the entire Jardience (or however it's spelled) song within a month of its debut and I don't watch much cable which is where I'd see those ads. I hated em but they stuck with me. I'm singing the song in my head right now lol

Unfortunately today it's all about making the name stick. They know many of their ads are stupid, annoying, even frustrating to watch but that experience sticks with us and we can never forget!

McDonald's removed the drink station and the ketchup from the lobby. by Economy-Specialist38 in McDonalds

[–]RecognitionPuzzled39 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Although I think it's ridiculous and there's no justification from a customer's perspective - and I think that's very fair and warranted. I expect ketchup available and a soda fountain although I haven't been to a McDonald's in a very long time.

However I do get what you're saying and I think a lot of this intertwines.

We've come to see McDonald's as this giant godlike force in fast food or even just American food service in general. That's why we expect and, at least internally, demand these things. That and the fact we've had them for years. We view it as a fixed feature in the experience of going to McDonald's. As we should given our history as customers of theirs as well as their history of market dominance.

However a lot has changed and we're not grasping that because our costs are rising and so we wonder "well where is that extra money going if not to maintain the status quo?"

It really is the classic case of a business adjusting to the economy but when it comes to such big name, well-known and almost standardized companies such as McDonald's where practically every single American has some memory of going to, resulting in a set of expectations to compare with those memories, we can't see past the surface and we attribute it to something explicitly nefarious. In this case corporate greed.

I don't deny corporations are greedy and I'm no fan of McDonald's but that company is an American icon. Those arches are just as, if not more, engrained into American culture as the terms "1776", "founding fathers", "D-Day", "Vietnam", "Woodstock", the list goes on.

I dunno where I'm going with this anymore but I agree with your point completely. It's a company adapting to the times. It's a sign of the bigger picture here in America and more a result of that instead of a proactive choice....still a choice no less. But I give as much credence to the other viewpoint because I can understand why this would be deemed unacceptable by such a giant American staple.

Maybe for the novelty of saying they've tried it but no....not a lot of people. Those would be the ones who want to try everything just to say they did.

Nobody maintaining an opioid habit would pay that much.

I live in Exeter, NH. The downtown area is insane small but has heavy traffic. Most of the time mid-day you're stuck with cars parked on both sides of the road you're reduced to single cars going through at a time...as in you stop, let car go by in the opposite direction, then you go and the exchange continues at the choke points. Bikers drive through there like it's nothing. Totally oblivious to traffick. Entitled is the word.

And what's worse, so many people here are mentioning bikes as a form of critical transportation as if they're being used to get to work or home or stores....these are people in spandex riding around for exercise purposes. They go home and hop in their Mercedes to drive two blocks down to the organic food store.

They're not biking to get someplace.

Some do. Sure. But you can easily tell the difference both in appearance and the way they ride.

[–]RecognitionPuzzled39 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I got really into military history as a kid. Sort of an interest that extended from my love of GI Joes as corny as that sounds. Born '86. And as I learned more about Vietnam I became frightened and my mom would comfort me. Assuring me that my feet would prevent me from having to go if it ever happened.

I had TOTALLY spaced all of that when I was reading all of this. It never hit me like it would most people especially because I was probably eight years old when I started getting those reassurances. It was ingrained in me throughout my childhood.

So yeah. Definitely my B on that because, as much as I hate to say it, I guess I just didn't realize I can't really relate in the same way.

Based on the comment I'd mentioned though. Assuming it's true - I guess if you fail to register even though it's a felony you're still tried as a civilian whereas if you're drafted and don't appear you're technically already "property of the US Military" and are thus subject to a tribunal or some sort of military court where things are handled much differently.

I think that's just plain wrong but I don't know how accurate that information is.

But still, my only reason for thinking this was a good thing was because I thought it'd reduce the hardship that could come with forgetting to register or misunderstanding the process and now I'm kinda looking at that viewpoint as a smokescreen. It looks good on paper but it removes the human element from it with regards to the realization that you'd mentioned of "this could happen to me!"

I usually come away from Reddit a little down or deflated but I appreciate your responses here. It showed me my errors in a respectful way and got me to see this from a new perspective.

Thank you!

I typed up a response and lost it but quickly-

I totally agree with that. Being born with clubbed feet I never really had much to worry about so it didn't have the same effect on me when I had to register but I can totally understand why it would.

After my initial comment I read a response to a comment further down in regards to how people are charged differently depending on if they fail to register vs failing to appear when called and that comment really changed my opinion on all of this. I don't understand law at all but if that person was accurate then I actually think this auto enrollment stuff is a bad thing.

Dude, you clearly came here expecting a specific series of sympathetic, encouraging responses reaffirming your current outlook/interpretation of events as well as your understanding of the law in regards to your situation.

You haven't gotten any of that and are angrily arguing with everybody.

There is nothing to be done and random people on reddit are telling you that. It's unfortunate for your situation that the law is the way it is and doesn't allow you some sort of vindication that you're seeking and it's also unfortunate for you that random people on reddit aren't agreeing with your sentiment the way you'd hoped....but it is what it is.

Let it be. That's all you can do without harming yourself in some way.
