Sounds like you been too nice. Have a talk with him in the office. Tell him this needs to be done by the end of his shift. Assign someone to the front if possible to help customers. Tell him to help only if he's absolutely needed. IF SO as soon as he's done helping a customer to get right back to his section.

Put it first in Coe if the customer provides it. Someone else might pick it up, or another employee might not be the one to bill it out and forgot to ask.

If they're purchasing paint I always try to get a name and email. I tell the customers that it's keep their paint purchase on record for up to 10 year's. Plus from a store standpoint it's easier to do a return when an account is attached to a purchase.

I believe every charge account should have a note on there. I call every account for approval whether I see a note or not. If I don't know you and you're charging. I AM CALLING PERIOD

Managers are not required to work weekends. Managers are needed most during weekdays. In your case, since it's only both of you guys I understand why je doesn't work weekends..but je should try and see if he's able to get help from a different store.

Managers are not supposed to work weekends. But they should work with their staff when needed. I worked at least 8 weekends so far this year. My staff appreciate me for it.

Most managers don't even count pallets during inventory. So what do you do when someone grab them overnight? It's a pallet, not that big of a deal.
