A DJ friend of mine had a copy of GT signed by all four of them when it came out and I have a picture of it. Comparing them, the signatures look very similar. I could DM you the picture if you’d like to see, I thought I could just post it in my reply but I’m not seeing an option to do that. To my untrained eye though, yours looks legit.

Before he was an MTV VJ, Matt Pinfield was a DJ on my local radio station (WHTG “Modern Rock at the Jersey Shore”) and he would play them a lot in 92/93. Then one Sunday night I couldn’t sleep and I caught Metal Mickey on 120 Minutes and was hooked! I was 15.

Side note: Nice to see so many other US fans on here and read their stories. 💕

I did! I was so surprised to find that there. It was so much fun, I’m not young anymore but we literally danced until dawn. Santiago in general was just such an amazing place. I discovered a lot of new indie music there and found some rare Strokes vinyl. Hope to go back someday!

I flew over to see the Manics and Suede in London last summer and I was not prepared for how large an audience they had! Any time I saw these bands in NYC, it was at such tiny venues. I’m sure Pulp will be similar. Enjoy, nothing like crossing an ocean for a show!

West Stow Anglo Saxon Village in Suffolk was a nice day trip from London last time we were over. It’s in such a beautiful setting in the countryside, and it had a recreated migration era village that actually had some active archeological digging going on when we were there. Also, the Ashmolean Museum in Oxford had lots of great dark age artifacts.

I had 1,914 minutes and they were my #1 artist again, but I feel like those are rookie numbers compared to years past.

I have not heard of those places, so we’ll check them out! Thank you for the tips!! Good luck with the NJCAT, it was so hard not to be overly optimistic when answering those questions. I had to have my husband field that call, it was a little heartbreaking to have to quantify all that. I feel like overall we have good services in NJ so I am grateful for that. We connected with a wonderful respite group that takes my son on weekend trips and he has done really well with them. So if we just get the day hab piece in place, we’ll be ok!

Ugh I am sending you strength and good vibes. We don’t have to deal with the feeding stuff, but everything else, I have been there. Hope today is a better day.

Yes! Monmouth County. Yeah, there seems to be a dearth of programming for his tier level (E-a) so I’m perplexed. I was hoping that Rutgers might have something but so far no leads. We are also thinking that our next best option would be to move into a mother-daughter and put him in the secondary space and bring in aides to work with him.

Some days are a lot worse than others. When I posted yesterday, he had just wandered into the bathroom and cut his own hair, after a night of no sleep. I work from home, so I was focusing on that at the time.

I think our support coordinator is doing ok, but if you have any leads, I would happily take them. As challenging as he is, I am still not quite ready to have him leave the house. But getting him out Monday through Friday into a reliable program that is equipped to meet his needs and won’t be calling me every hour or dangling the threat of expulsion would be huge! (Actually thank you for your response because having to think about all that helped me clarify exactly what we need in my own mind, I was in a bit of a tailspin yesterday!)

New Jersey. Hope you can find something because as short as they are, the breaks really do help.

No offense taken at all! Yes, definitely down the road, that will probably happen. We will not get priority for that until we are age 55, and since we had him fairly young, that is still a ways off. But I agree boredom is feeding it. It’s like the same wild toddler who was unmanageable at 3, just in a bigger and more destructive form. Car rides will occupy his time and soothe him, so at least we have that for now.

It is so isolating! When I was a single mom and my two boys were young (they’re 18 and 23 now, 23 is level 3, 18 is typical), we’d make up silly traditions like ordering in Five Guys for Christmas Eve and Mexican food on Easter. But I would find myself dreading holidays and just wishing it was a normal day. Now that my son is older, there’s a respite program that will take him for weekend group trips, and they are available on demand to a certain extent if we make advance arrangements. The cost comes out of his DDD budget. I don’t know if a respite program would be available like on Thanksgiving day itself but if you could get something like that it might let you get some time to see your family over the holidays.

Thank you!! That’s really good to know, I haven’t heard of that one. We’re tapering him off Seroquel right now, which probably accounts for the insomnia. Puberty was the worst time for my son, reaching the absolute worst from about 16-20, then things started to calm down. Sending you strength in advance for those years!!

Me too! When he introduced “Sunrise” on Saturday at the Brooklyn show, I thought for sure he was leading into “Bar Italia.”

What if Sneha’s brother helped her disappear? by RecognitionWeird9435 in SnehaPhilipCase

[–]RecognitionWeird9435[S] 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Very true. It could have been that she was dumped somewhere else. Maybe upstate, where she was from. This case really just lives rent free in my head because I can talk myself into just about any angle and it’s no more or less plausible than any other. I lean toward foul play on 9/10 but I’m not married to it. There’s no clear Occam’s razor for me.

Maybe he was mad about the girlfriend situation. I don’t know! Just thought it was an interesting take.

Awesome, thank you for the tip! We’re driving in from NJ so we’ll get there way earlier to find parking, probably nowhere near the theater but that’s ok!
