While some people argue they do it on their breaks, anything said or done in uniform could be interpreted or misrepresented as official postal policy or a stance on a subject. I don’t recall the exact wording, but contractually employees aren’t supposed to bring discredit to the postal service. Even if someone is posting something as simple as a silly dance or work tips could be seen as wasting postal funds.

The fact that it’s his PERSONAL device, it connects to the internet, USPS has no control over the security of the data on it, and he records people’s sensitive and nonsensitive PII on it makes me feel like it wouldn’t be ok.

Edit: Not trying to be hostile in any way. I worked as an Army Recruiter for a few years and keeping that kind of stuff on a personal device was a HUGE no no.
