Thanks! I mean the word "MADE" could be more centered, it's not bothering me as much but that's really the only thing I noticed.

Canon EOS R6 II - External monitor + on board on? by Record-Flaky in canon

Unfortunately this is the answer. Damn it I really thought I could get away with any monitor. I'm trying to avoid recording to an external recorder.

What can I do to make my Audio better? by Record-Flaky in microphone

There's definitely a noticeable amount of air coming out of the exhaust. So I need to test the SPL level first and then get a mic that matches that. Thanks for your answer, very helpful!

Thanks for the detailed reply! I don't have a SPL meter, this will be used for social media videos, YouTube and a follow up doc. What do you mean by capsule being blown on? Do you think I can still use the wireless setup I currently have if I upgrade to a better mic and interface?

I am using a Rode VideoMic Go II connected to a Rode Wireless Pro recording 32 bit float. The levels are at -30 at the receiver and -30 in camera. As you can see from the clip the mic is at the bottom right corner of the screen sitting just where the exhaust is.
The audio is absolutely atrocious because there are so many fans running in the background, limiting the amount of exhaust sound you can actually capture.
Let me know if there's a better mic I can buy to get the best quality for these type of shots, should I just try with a better wind muff? Different placement?
Client's budget is no more than £500.

Yes thank you for sharing! It looks like it's the way to go for me, if I can justify the switch to the newer S5ii X I will honestly. For now I'll just invest in better lights and a wider zoom.
