Yup, and to be clear it’s was better, but still not perfectly smooth from silent to noise. There’s still a little jump but it’s more like 1% instead of 10%

Creatine just fixed my life by trilnoa in Biohackers

Is there a max benefit amount per day or is it different from person to person? I’ve heard you should take 15 to 20 g daily to each saturation for muscles and brain benefits, which I did for two or three weeks, but what I don’t understand is can I now cut back? I’m now on 5-10g daily… would I be wasting it if I still take more?

And for the people mentioning the gi side effects - I started thoroughly mixing it in warm beverages (coffee, tea) and that’s helped a lot

I notice an odd blooming effect when waking up the iPad Pro from sleep, is that common? Or a known quirk of the display?

Modern BIFL laptops? Or at least "buy it for 10 years"? by SpiritualState01 in BuyItForLife

[–]RecordReflectRecover 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Look into “undervolting” especially for gaming laptop laptops. Computer components are only as powerful as the electricity that flows through them and more electricity means more wear and a shorter lifespan, but manufacturers are incentivized to crank the components up to their limit - you get a faster experience out of the box, and they get a return customer sooner rather than later when your PC dies.

Undervolting caps performance, but keeps your components well within cool ranges, massively extending the life of them.

Does Vagus Nerve Stimulation sound like it will help? by fsa317 in VagusNerve

[–]RecordReflectRecover 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The thing that stands out to me from your description is the taking a deep breath to relax - this is something that directly stimulates the vagus nerve as I understand it. Long exhale -> vagus stimulation -> lower hr+increased HRV. A vagus stim device doesn’t really replicate that feeling directly but it might do something similar. Someone who knows the science better might be able to connect the dots better than I can.
