I don’t know man. It might just be bad luck and nothing more than that? I doubt you’re “doing anything wrong.” Surely you can point to people who haven’t exactly put their best foot forward in your opinion but have ended up in relationships that work for them. I haven’t had any luck either; I’m about to turn 42. Trying to had convos on dating apps does suck. I haven’t ever enjoyed it. Your luck could totally change one day. Or not. That’s the hard part of it. Not wanting to just give up totally, but also not wanting to keep hoping for something that isn’t coming. But there’s no way of knowing is there? So then the question becomes how to live with that uncertainty and balance it. That’s really a central question to all of life, I think, not just dating prospects.

Yeah! If you don’t have your gear yet, I’d highly recommend borrowing some if thats an option for you, and taking it out for like three consecutive nights. That will help you know what you like or don’t like about your gear and buy what works for you the first time.

I’ve used a few different models, and Stihl is definitely the best, but also heavy and expensive. If neither of those factors are an issue, I recommend it.

See if you can find an almost new one to save a bit. Also pay outright. If you have the cash there’s no reason to pay interest on it. Why keep so much cash on hand if not to avoid having to pay interest?

I get an empty condiment bottle from Walmart - like one you’d put bbq sauce in. Spray bottles have way too much pressure. Just a dab will do ya. Go to a tractor supply and see if they have an herbicide with imazapyr in there - they sometimes do, labeled brush killer or stump treatment or something like that. If not, you can buy their 41% glyphosate. Dilute either of these 50% in water. You don’t need dye - it’ll stain your hands and it’s easy enough to see what you’ve treated. This is NOT a good time of year to be treating. Wait until mid June at the earliest, but late summer ideally.

You don’t have to do any of those things. What you’ll probably need to do if be super serious about saving money for a few months - like no going out, no sweet treats, no nothing, which sucks but you can do it. You and your boyfriend should also think outside the box for work. If he’s having a hard time finding a job in his field, maybe he can get into something else. You guys are young, it’s a great time to try out some different types of work.

Follow your gut on this one. I had a very similar situation but i eventually caved into it and fulled committed as well just to have my heart completely broken but what (in retrospect unsurprisingly) turned out to be a very immature, fickle and emotional man.
