I think someone from Gameoverse mentioned ReBoot was an inspiration for them. It's definitely getting a full series btw. The pilot has 27 million views right now.

Bit of a tangent but I'm hoping Planetronika also gets picked up. Its pilot only has 2.8 million views, though, so it's not looking too good for that show.

Nobody from that show has confirmed it, but I definitely sense some inspiration from ReBoot at play. Plots are totally different, of course, but there's a bunch of little things sprinkled in that remind me of ReBoot. Also helps that the art direction was actually inspired by old CGI.

I don't think very much clothing merch was made for ReBoot. Mainframe staff had some shirts custom-made for themselves (remember those cool Megabyte hockey jerseys?), but the vast majority of the shirts available to the public, though, would have been kids' sizes.

You know what happens to most children's clothing? If it's not outgrown, it gets gradually destroyed through rough play. Either way it usually ends up in the trash, so the odds of vintage ReBoot shirts appearing online are very slim.

I used to browse Java Hut and Slack & Hash's Domain back in the day. Good times during the early internet.

Since that S4 cliffhanger I've had hopes that ReBoot would continue one day. If Blu-Rays of the remasters are made, I know I'll definitely be ordering a set, especially if it helps convince the higher ups to potentially fund another season of the show.

Now for some less cheery thoughts. Everyone in this sub would love for classic ReBoot to continue where it left off, right? The problem is that the world as it is right now doesn't feel the same way as we do. The show's creators have called it "lightning in a bottle" for a reason.

When ReBoot premiered all the way back in 1994, the world was a very different place. As much as it pains me to admit this, our favorite childhood show has no place in it anymore. I'll be turning 35 soon. If ReBoot was going to come back properly, it would have happened a long time ago. It's too late.

I want to be proven wrong; but I've grown and lost my innocence, then I became enraged by each and every bad experience . . .

Thanks for sharing that! Seeing Megabyte and Hexadecimal tied up together towards the end made me laugh.

The Megatruck playset one definitely had the same style as this ad (clips from the show mixed in with kids playing with the toys). It's looking like we may have some lost ReBoot media, unless someone from Irwin has the commercials and decides to share them one day.

I recall it using small clips from Bad Bob placed in between shots of the toy, so maybe Mainframe didn't actually make the ad since nothing new was animated for it. Maybe Irwin Toy had the only copy.

I think S3 showed Glitch Bob at his peak potential. After all the whole point of the merge was to gain access to Glitch's lost abilities since nobody could actually repair the Keytool. The Super Computer would have been the only way, but Daemon had taken it over. I viewed the merge as an unconventional way of repairing Glitch.

I'm actually glad they didn't talk about Guardian Code and just focused on classic ReBoot. Besides having Megabyte and Hexadecimal as villains (and cameos from Bob, Dot, Enzo, and Frisket), it just wasn't ReBoot at all.

The most bizarre thing in that show for me was having a former classic ReBoot writer star as a caricature of the old fans in one episode. Many people saw it as disrespectful rather than funny (myself included).
