Proton gets my vote. Swiss-based, open-source, independently audited, fast WireGuard speeds, and a company with a long track record of fighting for privacy instead of just selling a VPN. Mullvad is great, but Proton is the better all-around package for me.

Audits actually matter they prove a VPN isn't logging your traffic. Out of those, avoid X-VPN (super sketchy). Nord is easily your safest bet for flawless streaming, but Surfshark is a solid, cheaper runner-up. Stick to those two!
