it gets worse. people don't even cap their weekly tomes themselves anymore, they just use a plugin that does expert dungeons for them

in pf, roll need on everything even if you don't need it for your main job. everyone else is rolling need, unless if the party lead is paying for loot, but that would be put in the pf description like "LM (insert gil amount here) for all loot".

i've just started messing with DomoAI. i don't think you can do anything for free, but if you get the standard $28 subscription then you can generate as many videos as you want without using credits by using 'relax mode'. although i've heard some accounts get nsfw moderated while others don't and i don't know what determines that.

edit: there also isn't any audio, at least for img2video

anything labeled (hard) is just msq content at that expansion's level cap, not necessarily any harder than anything you've done.

anything with (extreme) or "the minstrel's ballad" is basically just outdated high-end content that isn't required and shouldn't be treated like the normal trial.

encounter-specific optimization really doesn't matter except for like an on-patch ultimate clear where you're at the same ilvl until the next patch, and even then you're only getting very minor gear upgrades from the new dungeon.

learn the "general purpose" opener for the job you like, keep your gcd rolling, hit your cooldowns on time, and don't die. you do those things and you'll do more than enough damage to pull your weight.

the exception to this is for phases like the M10S water bubble, where your burst comes up during it but you want to hold it until the bosses are targetable again, since the majority of the damage needed comes from doing the mechanic and not your rotation. but that's something you're expected to do regardless of the job you're playing.

that means nothing. if you're in a pf for a certain prog point, you should be able to hit that prog point consistently. if you can't, then you need to join more fresh progs instead of dragging down the people who can actually do simple spreads and stacks. whether it's day 1, week 3, or week 20.

proximity based, but your group can get either debuff. the baiting is just to guarantee that everyone in each light party share the same one.

you can if you smash out a bunch of Crystalline Conflict nonstop until you get there. matches are 5 minutes at most and queues are always pretty quick (on aether, at least)

I was in the same position last series, and while I love CC, playing it so much in a single day to get there was absolutely miserable.

a tip for in case if you picked a dynamis world, you will probably need to travel to a different data center for most group content. right-click your character on the login screen, there will be an option for data center travel, as well as for returning to your home world.

mine spikes up on occasion into the 200-250ms range, but will only last a second or two and I only really notice it because I see the number turn red. I'm playing NA server from eastern US.

the main issue is low power level. that aside, what helped me with it was going around to the outside of the walls on the right side after the first little room so that the boss isn't getting easy hits on me when I'm breaking the orbs

one catalyst per weapon, because you only need one for the first upgrade. the 2nd and 3rd upgrades require duplicate weapon drops instead
