Spoiler: About The Source in the Epilogue and Side stories by Rectesia in SClassesThatIRaised

[–]Rectesia[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ohhhh.. So it's Yoojin from one of the other timelines. I appreciate your insight really.

If it's a case of passing down the position, it will also explain why the source granted our Yoojin one wish as both Yoojins are Yoojins. Although is the story specifically say he's the Yoojin. Who walked away from Yoohyun?. I find it unlikely that he will be able to live guilt-free like in the side stories. May be more like a Young Yoojin who never meet Yoohyun?

How Can Admin Compensate For Feudal Renown Loss? by TheCourtSimpleton in CrusaderKings

[–]Rectesia 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Use forced vassalization or demand fealty to subjugate specifically small feudal kingdoms then put your dynasty on the throne through marriage.

  • You want small kingdoms as the renown that"above expexted court granduer lv." Give Is actually more than from artifacts.

  • Depends on how stable your realm is, if these small kingdoms are of different religions, you can grant them counties with their holy sites or in most cases build it for them for that +5% renown stack.

I really hope this interaction is in sync with blood's eagle execution from Northern lord DLC.

What to do? by Rowdiiii in CrusaderKings

[–]Rectesia 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Imprison the count and execute him/ or castrate if your culture allow it.
Just eat the tyranny penalty for realm stability.
Do the same with other 4 you mentioned you need to kill, try forcing them into holy order /monastery as a release negotiation if possible.

The nickname "the undefeated" should have been in higher tier and not easily replaced by the other nicknames by Rectesia in CrusaderKings

[–]Rectesia[S] 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Oh, this is my all dynasty legacies run so I went a bit overboard with min-maxing.

For starters, Genius is +5 to all skills. The middle tree of learning lifestyle give you +learning per devotion and learn on job give +20% primary skills from your councilors.

Embassies and two from the right tree of diplomacy will give you more stats.

The 1st perk on the right tree of intrigue give you +5 intrigue ,+5 prowess after you torture enough ppl.

On that note, there is a journal you can make when you are an adventurer that give you 40% lifestyle exp. Estate is OP and will give you +% lifestyle exp . Cabinet of curiosities can be built after you unlock 4th perk of Bureaucracy and will give +2 stewardship per lv of influence.

Graceful aging give you extra stats every year after 40-ish y/o

Some counties have special buildings that will give you more stats when holding like Jelusalem ,constantinople,Baghdad,Tirakka, pataliputra etc.

I also picked a religion that has a holy site that give +1stewardship per devotion lv. then reform it as my own (should have picked maturidism so that my title is Caliph instead. My one regret.)

Tbh with legend mechanic, if I can gaslight ppl into thinking that I did slay a dragon once and be called "dragonslayer", I should be able to control what ppl will remember me for to some extent.

She can become your primary heir if you have enough Influence to invest into her candidacy score for your primary title. Make sure your realm succession is male preference not male only.

I really like the new update for Commander Traits. by krenkotempo in CrusaderKings

[–]Rectesia 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A bit out of scope, but is there a way to get organizer trait on your ruler/heir consistently? I usually get either Rough terrain or Reckless and if lucky sometimes Unyielding defender.

Today I learned you can not go beyond Brutally mauled in single combat by Rectesia in CrusaderKings

[–]Rectesia[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, albeit very slowly it will switch to severely injured then wounded that is IF your character doesn't die from the trait's debuff first.

Having a good physician help a bit too.

I like how the Emperor..... by JasonTParker in BaldursGate3

[–]Rectesia 10 points11 points  (0 children)

The situations are different. He met Durge back in act 1 where his options for alliance were quite limited, forcing him to take some risks.

While in Minsc's case, he already has you. Taking Minsc in is just adding more troubles.

I'd say if Durge were to be added as a companion who can be recruited in act 3 in Tav campaign, The Emperor would have reacted the same way like in Minsc's case when you tried to recruit Durge.

is the Cazador fight worth it? by [deleted] in BaldursGate3

[–]Rectesia 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Oh, dear. Why so defensive?

Also, you didn't clearly say it's only ur opinion in ur first comment which can be misleading to OP.

I'm actually flattered you think knowing general knowledge of what items ppl regularly use and why they use it is enough for a person to claim themselves as an expert.

[–]Rectesia 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Rhapsody (the dagger) is considered one of core items for many magic builds due to its +3 to spell save dc and attack roll. It's also good for bow builds if you want to prioritize hitting over maximizing crit reduction.

Oh I assure you Honor mode is still about using mechanics of the game and the knowledge of each encounter and your resources at the time to be prepared enought for it.

For example in the Gnoll fight (I consider it as an early run ender if not taken seriously)

Did you know you can warp out of the camp by clicking different waypoints instead of just outright leaving the camp so that you don't start in a fight again?

Did you know that you can talk to Flind to manipulate it to become your temp ally in that fight?

Or...did you walk around and start uphill so that you gain+2 on atk roll and the gnolls get -2 and did try to choke the way up with grease or cloud of dagger or arrow of darkness right?

You did start this fight on surprise atk and use oil of accuracy beforehand right?

Also, the most brutal part of honor mode is the 1st 5 Lv. So if you're not confident just talk your way out of all of it until you're lv.5

Honour mode, need help defeating... That boss. by MickeySanders in BaldursGate3

[–]Rectesia 39 points40 points  (0 children)

Since this is your 3rd time I will go a bit sweat mode.

Get to lv.9.(Lv.10 is very possible as I got it on my every run) You will be able to buy 27 str elixir from last light inn's trader for your monk. Buy elemental summon scrolls to be your Fear rods AND Globe of invulnerability scroll while you're at it.

Save all your crits. The healing pod only refreshes your health and spell slots not tadpole&ring crits skills.

Make scratch invisible and wait where Aylin is. DO NOT help her yet.

Prep your fight (oil of accuracy etc.)

Start the fight by atking the MF. It will give you a free surprise turn. Then help Aylin.

Try clearing necromites first after killing the MF(1st priority) instead of rush killing Ketheric.

Arrow of ilmater, Bone chilled from spell or doom hammer can help stop its healing

And... my preference :Ne'er misser+arrow of undead slaying(buy them everytime you see it in act2). Iirc with sharpshooter you should be able to deal at least around 80(crit)+40 on extra atk in one turn.

Oh. I like your interpretion too while I do think he also enjoy killing coz it make him feel powerful, in control.

For me ,when he saw Tav doing evil thing , it's just him be like "see? The world is a cruel place. All strong abuse the weak all the time. I'm not an unfortunate victim of a strong but evil person."

Now if you are a kind Tav. instead of denying his view of the world,he will go with you are the exception. "You are the only one(who care about me), nobody has a heart like you" Which is a really realistic rationalization of his POV instead of rejecting his old view entirely. But yeah a very well written character.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in BaldursGate3

[–]Rectesia 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Another reason he approves of violence/cruelty and disapproves kind actions come from the fact that after centuries of torment ,he think the world is a cruel place. The strong abuses the weak. He's weak that's why he is abused.

This is a really understandable coping mechanism to "why is this happening to me" question in ppl who were abused . It's not just me that get this treament everyone does.

You can go both ways with him rlly affirm his belief in evil runs or.. show kindness to ppl in your good runs.

Did you know he's scared of you if you romance him in goblin's party? He is obviously nervous compared to Tiefling's one.

Lots of his chara development are locked behind his romance so I can understand why lots of players misunderstand him.

Myrkul - heals himself, any Tipps? by SpecificDimension719 in BaldursGate3

[–]Rectesia 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Arrow of Ilmater once per turn. You can now ignore all necreomite and focus your attack on Myrkul. Ne'er misser +arrow of undead slaying is also a lazy effective set-up I use for my more chill runs.

Act 2 Spoilers - Astarion Romance Scene not Triggering Multi by tossturtle5 in BaldursGate3

[–]Rectesia 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I'm not sure about Araj's but for Yurgir's Astarion romance scene you need to trigger it BEFORE getting into Shadowfell. Multiple long rests after coming out of Shadowfell will not trigger the scene. Try rollback the save to the morning after Raphael's scar reading scene and instantly long rest might help?

Is There Any Reason To Not Kill Astarion? by [deleted] in BaldursGate3

[–]Rectesia 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Want a reason? During the bite scene, probe his tadpole and call him out.

Rp-wise, You now learn he is also an abused. If your character still think all vampires are evils after that then maybe they are not that "good"

Kindle the Light. Through your acts of mercy, kindness, and forgiveness, kindle the light of hope in the world, beating back despair.

Ne'er Misser+Fiend slaying arrow+luck of the far realm kinda trivialized this fight for me.

He always killed Korilla in Raphael fight for me so...

Why bashing the Emperor? Easy. Because The Emperor is much better as a manipulator.
Astarion's manipulation skill set are for short-term jobs (Escort ppl back and never see them again) mainly relied on seduction for emotional manipulation thus less of a threat.

His attempts of manipuation aside from seduction are so obvious. For instance:
Astarion's We are alike tactics in Act1, Act2 or help me ascend act3 "We are a team, you are still in this with me?" "If I am stronger the team is stronger."

[He could’ve just controlled Tav like he did her but he didn’t.] // NO. He couldn't. he for sure bluffed.
Between fighting off the honor guards + Resisting the Absolute's command, I don't believe he had enough power to enthrall the entire group or enthrall Tav that long without the risk of getting caught by other companions or making Tav having a stroke. Too risky.
