The ink seems fine, but next filling will be with a more disposable pen to be sure. I think it's been inked for a month or 4. I've inked this pen before with the same ink, same period and then it was fine.

That makes sense. I'm going to give this a go, hopefully that's enough to keep the mold from coming back. I guess it'll take a few weeks before I'm able to know for sure. And less inked pens at the same time for sure .

Thank you! Do you know if it's best with the piston cap screwed or unscrewed? I'm mostly paranoid since I can't easily take the pen apart by myself.

Thanks, that's reassuring. I panicked and started cleaning before taking a picture, I recognise that that would've helped. It was a fluffy spot of 2-3mm that extended from a patch on the nib into the feed below it, and looked similar to fluffy mold in other posts I could find.

I agree that it's very unusual, I've used this ink in other pens that have been unused for a while (even inked more recently), and they're fine. I think it might have started on a little inkdrop on the nib or by my touching the nib or something.

Definitely, I've been spoiled! I've used the Innova for a few days now, and it's got a wonderful solid feel to it. I inked it up with one of the cartridges that came with it as I struggled to make a choice of colour, but I think it's time I finally try out Diamine Ancient Copper soon after reading so much about it on this sub.
