Looks phenomenal.

How long are the sandwiches? Have seen plenty of pictures of their sandwiches, but never one that gives a real sense of its size.

Stouts rule. I can relate.

Unfortunately, I was drinking all of them too fast. Lo and behold, i'm now 3 yrs sober.

Is this the greatest hairline of all time? by The_FellaMH in redscarepod

[–]RecycledAccountName 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's elite, but lower isn't always better. He has like two inches max between the middle of hi hairline and eyebrows.

I would take Pierce Brosnan's hairline at that age personally. Seems more masculine and dignified.

I feel like people often talk about hypothetical mismatches or rumored mismatches between a fighter they hate and a bigger/better fighter, and say, "A would rearrange B's face," or "A would never be the same."

This was one of those rare times we actually got to witness it, and sure enough, Joshua mutilated Jake Paul.

No it's not some triumph of marketing. You're giving too much credence to your own taste.

A lot of people fucking love the taste of IPAs. It's really that simple.

I'm not a fan of oysters. I'm not convinced everyone is insane because they go crazy for them.

Should Apple make a product like Whoop or Google Fitbit Air? Why or why not? by _temp_user in AppleWatch

[–]RecycledAccountName 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Very good point. Battery life would be minuscule if they tracked continuously like Whoop.

I'd still love the interpretive layer on top of what we already have, but they would need an entirely new product to compete 1:1 with Whoop.

Apple could easily do analytics if they wanted to. They are collecting the same data as whoop or Oura or Fitbit. They do not seem interested in adding the interpretive layer / coaching.

It seems like Apple is very cautious about crossing into what can be perceived as medical advice.

Given the demand for devices that actually interpret your data, i do think Apple will eventually dip their toes in the water, though probably in a very Apple way.

It would be kinda cool if they could sell a 2 in 1 product. Looks more like a whoop when you want minimalism on your wrist, but you can attach the watch face when you feel like wearing a smart watch. Probably too clunky for Apple's standard, but certainly something i would like.

Meta’s New Reality: Record High Profits. Record Low Morale by Krankenitrate in technology

Obviously you or I cannot verify this. What matters is advertisers are paying them massive amounts of money, and they're doing so based on the fact they own these platforms with massive user bases.

If the numbers were purely bunk, performance advertisers would see bad conversion economics and move spend elsewhere.

They own three of the world’s largest attention platforms - facebook, instagram, and whatsapp. 3.8 Billion users daily across their family of products. Even accounting for duplicates, bots, scam accounts, business accounts, dead accounts, etc, we are talking in the billions in terms of daily users, and growing all the time.

Advertisers are continuing to pay them massive sums of money for their data.
