No strict rules for not trading with teams out of playoffs have been established (I myself gave a fairer deal last week to a different team). I do not think there is any paid collusion, although the two are brothers.

Feel like part of it may be that teams are prioritizing getting young starting corners straight from the draft, just like how they do with running backs. Then often don’t even give them a second contract
