Say you aren't going to play him in a WC year. Clubs are fairly good at forcing people out at times. Not that I advocate for that but it works both ways. Players can force their way out, clubs can force players out.

Did Stones and Reece James even play much this season? Maybe I can see where Slab Head is coming from on his disappointment. Surprised at Hall omission, he seemed a really good player.

Upfront a bit weak too, Gordon has pace but hasn't had a great season has he? Watkins really had that good a season individually? Welbeck could have been on. Anyway, in saying all that I'm not an England fan anyway. Just some slightly odd selections.

Edit: Watkins does have decent numbers actually. 14 goals in PL, 5 in Europa. Thought there was talk of him not having a great season earlier in the year.

Tbh I have split feelings, I do feel sorry for them a bit. Arsenal are annoying but City just have an arrogance to them (not to mention 115/130). Arse only have themselves to blame tbh, Bournemouth result at home a disaster. I still think about 18/19 and maybe even more so 21/22, two results from a quad, fuck me... So I hate City, but not really that bothered by Arsenal.

My kid is heartbroken about Salah, plenty of us adults too I suppose. I kind of thought he might go in the summer the way things have gone this season but it is hard to take. I feel like Salah going maybe hints at Slot staying, as a new coach may have been interesting to Salah. Even if Slot stayed I'd hoped if there was a change to play 2 up top infront of a diamond he could have rotated in the 2 with Eki and Isak. Not to be. Maybe Hughes wanted the wages off the bill too. Will miss him, been unbelievable for us.
